I guess Boon wasnt kidding around when he said every MK character will make an apperance in MKD. I love the idea of how former MK kombatants will be observing the current MKD bouts. And did anyone notice the yellow bars in front of each cell? What could that mean?

I love the concept so far. Maybe the Dragon King went on a shopping spree and tried to get as many of the "selected" warriors as possible, trying to render Earth and Edenia/Outworld helpless to stop him. Either way...just seeing some of these guys like Fujin and Jarek will be great for remembering just how far the series has come.

Maybe they are unlockable characters :O Like something must be done on that stage to unlock them, who knows.

We've been talkin all about it in my look a pic with Drahmin post. (I was the first to post the pics, so it's a big thread) u can talk about it there. I think the yellow bars means it's Interactive.

the yellow bars mean its a minor version of the death trap-so like the people in the cells will attack you but not kill you

This is SOOO mk2, when Kahn imprisoned Kano and Sonya.

Though I don't understand why Boon is going to all the trouble of recreating every MK character in 3D.

Didn't Jarek die? And it doesn't make sense that the DK captured Fujin, the DK didn't even make it to Earth yet.

I hope Quan Chi isn't in those prison cells.

Maybe theres gonna be a mortal kombat trilogy 2 with the MKD engine. I would like to see motaro and kintaro as two background characters acting as elite guards in the DK's throne room.

It would be awesome to be able to unlock Jarek I think and probably makes sense with Kano supposedly out. This would mean Jarek and Kira for Black Dragon. There were 2 red Dragon in the last game.

that's what i was thinking as well. i think one of them could be unlockable and the other hidden character could be a new one not seen in any of previous mk games. but if that's not the case, that stage kick's ass kind bring back memories of sonya and kano being chain up in the mk2 background. it looks like some of the missing mk characters are back but as prisoners of the dragon king awsome.

Well it wouldn't surprise me at all if Boon is recreating all these old MK characters into 3D *now* to reduce the workload when MKT2 is announced.

Though it would take a ton of work to give every single MK character in history 3 completely unique styles.

Hmm. i haven't seen the ps2 pics yet, but I do see jade and jarek in the xbox versions.
Wow, I must say, that this game is getting much better with every new update, and every new screenshot.
The prison level looks interesting, especially if the character in the prisons like mentioned above get to attack you as a minor deathtrap, what would be cool would be if as a stage fatality or someting would be to knock your opponent into one of the prison cells, depending on who's cell you throw them in, outputs a different stage fatality with that character! Wouldn't that be Sweet! multiple stage fatalities making the replay value of that stage much more! imaging playing it over and over trying to accomplish that task, bringing the feeling of mk2,3,4, all back in this very stage.

I wonder for a stage fatality if we could burn your opponent with a fire that spread throughout the whole prison, as you walk outside, you watch through a camera view of the whole mk cast burning in flames! Wouldn't that be sweet

The Jarek and Fujin models look like they were from MK4.

It occurs to me - perhaps the prisons are alphabetically ordered?

I'd like 2 find out what happend to both of them myself. I guarantee ya Kitana's in a cell 2 since the DK has her kept prisoner! Damn I hope they're playable!
