I dont know, but I do care and hope that hes in the game, but I doubt he'll be in except for konquest mode, but who knows.

I care if he's in it. I hope he is. I like him as a character.

He's my favorite ninja, I definitely hope he's in. Hell, I like him so much, that I even liked him in the animated series, Defenders of the Realm.

Can I ask, and I'm just curious, but why do so many people on this board like Rain? Don't get me wrong, I don't say that with anger or dislike for the character or anything like that.
I guess I've never understood why people like him so much. He was about the 6th or 7th palette swap, so his look can't really be seen as original. Also, he was simply a general in Shao Khan's armies, much like Ermac, Sheeva, Sindel and a couple others. So again, not very original in the storyline department either.
I guess by original I mean unique. What makes you guys like someone who's story and look really don't separate him from any of the other background characters? I can understand liking him, I mean, I like him, but not enough to care whether I actually see him in another MK game.
So how come so many people on this board like him so much as to believe he'll be in the game, make up rumors or pass rumors along about him being in the game, and overall just have such a large connection to that specific character? Again, I'm not trying to be negative here. I'm just looking at it from my own viewpoint. I've got no problem with the character, or people that like the character. Can anyone answer? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

i think evry character u see on the konquest video released like a week ago with shao kahn and motaro and sheeva and rain are all not in the game but only konquest

I think the reason people like Rain so much is ...
his colour, his name, and of course he began life as a ninja, and we know how popular THEY start off..
Repackaged, Rain could become quite the kombatant but MK needs to move on and rebranding old karacters, isnt the way 2 do it [not overkill anyway]
Yeah Rain is purdy in appearance and has a cool name but he is nothing special [In my humble opinion..]

Well I like em becuase hes a ninja. His mind control orb and lightin grab were the shit! , id love to see em in deception , the graphics are insane. plus they could change his look, ermac sub and scorpion no longer look the same like older MK games.

Rain was very cool
his thunder moves were really powerfull
I like to see him return in MKD

Yeah, not to mention he has a badass name.
I would love to see Rain in this game, but I didn't want him to be a Super Secret Character. I wanted him to be on the regular roster of characters. So he'll probably be in MK7. It wouldn't surprise me at all.

I always liked Rain. I like the purple look for a guy, It's unique to me because purple is used more for women than men, Very different.

Ever since "Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm". Everytime i think of Rain, I think of Keanu Reeves in purple, lol.
The Blue Orb and Lightning Bolt were tight as hell, In my opinion.
Not to mention his story, That's what really brings me back to him. Everything was building up but was never revealed as to what happened next... I need to know!

I just dont like Rain. I mean Nightwolf and more specifically Raiden basically fulfilled my need for electricity. Rain just reminded me of a ninja that I didnt like at all. He had nothing that I really wanted to see in a mk game. I think he was there to take up time and space.

he wasn't all that special in UMK3, but I like his POTENTIAL. With a little thought, Rain could be a great character. If Boon has been keeping up with the fans, he may be in, but I think not.

Sadly enough I think rain will not be in do to the fact that he went on a suicide mission to redem himself in the eye's of his edinean people

I think theres to many ninjas as is.. Rains always been my least favorite of em for some reason.. Although reptile hasnt been sportin his ninja look lately

They already gave his lightning lift to Nightwolf (rightfully so cuz he DID have a fatality which involved his hatchet and lightning) so why would he be in here? And his orb, it's kinda HARD to position people in 3-D. That roundhouse kick won't be great in 3-D. It'll make it feel too much like 2-D, which sux when they could do so much to take advantage of 3-D.

That was my favorite of his moves. But i didn't mention it because as where the Blue Orb and Lightning Bolt would have every reason to be in his moveset. I think his Super-Roundhouse may be left out, If (hopefully!) he's in.
And yeah. It would be very hard to position anyone in 3-D with his Blue Orb, But why can't it just be a normal damaging move?

well the first time i've seen his was in conquests, and he made quite an impression. let's see: i don't think he was wearing purple ( seen that episode a long time ago- i'm pretty sure it was a dark color), he beat the shit out of kung lao- who even beat scorpion and like 3 enemies at once, and he almost killed kung lao with the lightning. that was awesome.

Ya I thought Rain was ok...I think it'd be neat to have him back with an actual STORY! Use his potential to your advantage MK team like one user stated above he has lots of potential because the story telling really started to pick up when MK hit 3D and Rain has NEVER been in a 3D game. Thats what I think anyway
