Think about it we never would expect the God of

thunder to betray his precious

humans...ahem.Anywho.How could this come about?

Maybe he could just get tired of it or he could

be the next to go.Any ideas?Maybe Johnny will

betray the one who helped him so diligently to

restore his life.He should be killed for that

alone!J/k I have no problem with Raiden, but would

find it interesting if he was the deciever. No one

ever post on him so let me hear your thoughts !
I don't think that will happen.

hmmmm, I would agree with that, but when I think about it Rayden has nothing to gain. I mean, his powers are useless in outworld, so why try to destroy the world that he has lived in for centuries? and as a god, I dont see him being tempted by power at all considering he gives up his position as elder god and risks his immortality to help the earthrealm fighters defend Earth so many times.

That would be the stupidest idea ever considering how much Rayden sacrificed for his precious humans.

maybe he sacrificed so much to make his "precious" humans feel secure, when really he's screwing them up left right and centre. it might work, if hell froze over (i say that because the MK Team arent going to radically change the storyline of Raiden, because they don't know what the fan reaction would be if they did)

Acutally, there were some posts about this. But anyway, i do think its entirely possible for Raiden to go baddie. How they would pull it off, i have no idea.

Actually I thought it was a damn good idea. No one would ever see that coming. I think that would kick ass. I would rather him be good, but the idea still is good.

Personally right now i'm not worrying about Raiden. I'm worry about Shao Kahn coming back. Shao Kahn could come back and kill Raiden once and for all. Maybe even in the intro? That was my original idea.

The only way I can see Raiden/Rayden going bad is if the strain finally gets to him. Elder Gods being a pain in the butt, multiple attempts on HIS realm, having to risk his immortality/life time and again. All of these could make anyone start to crack, but I would say it would be a slow spiral to insantity. First he starts to rebel against those he looked up to. Then he becomes more violent and brutal to his enemies and short tempered with his allies. Soon he becomes like the ones he his fighting and eventually we have another insane diety on our hands.

However, preplanned deception is not really an in character trait for the thunder god, oh he might have a trick or two against the bad guys up his sleeves, but all out betrayal against his allies and friends......I don't think so.

I think he should stay just the way he is... the good ol' Thunder God.

Some nice ideas though. But I just don't see Rayden going bad... but who knows what Boon has got in store for us.

I fully agree, I don't see and rather not have the Thunder God go bad. A little pissed off, maybe.

What flaming? I can all the idea stupid if I want I didn't flame the poster.

I think it was stupid because Rayden gave up his elder god status to save humanity, it would be ludicrous for him to betray them because he sacrificed so much of himself for them.

Remember the movies/tv shows are not canon. In the games, his powers were reduced but still had the power of lighting like Sub-Zero has the power of ice and Scorpion the power of fire. In MKI and MKII he took on mortal form to compete in the tournament and thus risking his life. In MKDA I am guessing it is the same. He is a God of Thunder on Earthrealm, but a warrior of lighting in other realms. Like Sub-Zero and the others he can be killed, otherwise the fatalities wouldn't work on him. He just has thousands of years more experience than the other fighters. grin
