if you remember in mk gold reikos ending had him as shao kahn and i've read that some of you want or think kahn will be back but do you think it will be in the form of reiko or kahn himself if thats what the mk team wanted from mk gold. i for one liked reiko i could pull mad combos with his uppercut leg move his fatalities kinda sucked but his moves were cool

Reiko's ending in MK4 also showed that he was Shao Kahn.

Only the gameboy whatever version, which Ed Boon or the guys in charge of the story have no control over, ALLUDED to that.

From what I remember, when they made MKG, someone, not Ed Boon, decided Reiko's original ending was stupid so they changed it at the last second.

And besides, Ed Boon confirmed in a chat before MK:DA came out, Reiko is not Shao Kahn.

Yet another Reiko is Kahn thread. Face it...Reiko ain't Kahn. As already pointed out, someone who does NOT have control over the story decided to do the fmv ending. And the people behind the GB version didn't even consult with Boon about it. Plus, as said already, Boon said that Reiko isn't Kahn...doesn't get much more proof than that.

Its just one of those endings that never happened I guess. Like the one in MK1 that Rayden ended up destroying the world by accident. Good thing, Reiko looked too puny to be Shao Khan anyway. tongue

Have you ever played Mortal Kombat before? You do realize that not every character's ending happens, right? And if the developer of the game says Kahn is NOT Reiko, well, who else do you want to tell you that? God? Jesus? Gandhi?

mine own eyes b. if ed boon didn't want it to happen then the game never should have come out, reiko would have been better off not showing that that way those of us that do like him, would have a reason to bring him back

Cowbell, the creators of Mortal Kombat have more power over the game and it characters than anyone. If they say that Reiko is not Shao Khan then believe them. Remember, its usually only one ending that usually turns out 100% true to the ongoing story. Sorry, to disappoint you.

Also, are you certain your 25? Don't want to be too rude about it, but it seems you need a nap.

Reiko isnt Kahn. There are many things that points so. For example back in the MK2 manual for home systems it clearly shows Kahn's face. Kahn face looks like a semi normal face with like 4 spikes on his head. Also Kahn is very very large compared to Reiko. Just because Reiko puts on Kahn;s helmet on doesnt mean he is Kahn. Heck if I recall fight night Dec 2002 correctly the MK staff stated that Reiko isnt Kahn, but please check the fight night transcript here at MKonline.com for it.

Its been confirmed twice that Reiko isn't Kahn. First was Ed Boon. He said that Reiko's MK4 ending was to add an elemental mystery to the character. And he also said that Reiko was actually one of Kahn's minions.

Another Midway official said that Reiko isn't Shao Kahn but does have some sort of connection to the Dark Emperor

reiko became ruler of outworld IN HIS ENDING

which is why he wore the helmet..which may be some sort of crown since the DK seemed to be wearing a similar helmet in raiden's ending.

Reiko has been confirmed to not be Shao Kahn. I don't mean to start any other Reiko theories, but it is more likely Reiko is Shang Tsung in disguise. If you want to use the fact that the MK Team would have OK'd all the endings, it could be argued that Shang Tsung lead most of the attacks on Earthrealm. MK1, MK2 (he was their main enemy, while Shao Kahn would just kill any Earthrealm fighter that fought through his forces), MK3 Shao kahn probably just sat on his thone while Shang Tsung controlled the attacks.

Sorry that just seemed like below average fanfic, but I think it is more likely that Reiko is Shang Tsung than Shao Kahn.

Not this again!! I hope Reiko and/or Shao Kahn is in MK6 with a story line that sorts this out once and for all. And, No it's not enough for Boon to say it, because not every MK fan is aware that he said it, yet they are all aware of Reikos ending. It needs to be clearly stated in a game so everyone knows.

I never said he was, I just said it would make more sense, Shang Tsung being around that build, alive and having the ability to shapeshift and all. As well as him being assosciated with Shao Kahn, it could also be argued he ordered the attacks on Earthrealm.
LIke i always said before cause u ppl dont understand, i think and know that reiko was a minion for khan and a decoy, he dresses in the emporers armor and even sat on the throne while khan was healing, i think it was reiko that was actually killed in MKDA. and thats, that

we were told to forget about reiko.

he was a one time character and thats it.

shao kahn got killed ..not reiko

now my reiko theory makes the most logical sense
