Well, as far as we know, there is no connection between Reiko and Rain except that they both have worked for Shao Kahn sometime in their lives though I doubt those two have met. As for Reiko and Shang Tsung, I can't really be too sure. Some believe that Reiko and Shang Tsung are the same since the markings on Reiko's face are just like the markings on Shang Tsung's face from MK3-MKT though my theory is that the markings on Reiko's face represents him being some kind of very high-ranked servant of Shao Kahn. The reason why I say this is because of Shang Tsung's MK3 bio. It mentioned Shao Kahn granting Shang Tsung more power than ever. Maybe Shao Kahn granted a lot of power to Reiko but of a different kind.

There's also a theory that it was Shang Tsung and Quan Chi who really killed Reiko disguised as Shao Kahn but now I'm starting to think that might not be possible. It's possible that it could either be some kind of decoy or something or it was really Shao Kahn but he wasn't killed.

what if Reiko's MK4 ending really happened (Kahn's helmet was put on Reiko) and the deadly alliance thought Reiko was Kahn and killed him, thus leaving the real Shao Kahn still alive somewhere

This is wrong. Reiko died during the attack of the troops of Shinnok to the God's Realm, and soon it returned to the life (if it is that really Reiko died in that battle) to continue being general of Shinnok.

Reiko's ending didn't happen though it would have made sense for Reiko to have Kahn's helmet on to pose as Reiko so that the Deadly Alliance would kill him instead of the real Shao Kahn. Then again, I think it's possible that was the real Shao Kahn but he wasn't killed. Think about Sheeva. She was said to have been killed in MK: DA but now it seems that she'll be in MK: Deception.

just for a notice . Reiko is one of the brothers of the shadow. If you look closely up can see the brothers of the shadow icon on Reiko 's back. It is the same icon that Screena had in MKM:SZ.

Anyway, like I said before, Reiko is not Shao Kahn and I doubt he's Shang Tsung either.

Just because he wears Kahn's helmet doesn't mean he is Kahn. Maybe the helmet is a symbol of the ruler of Outworld, and Reiko put it on because he won the tournament. Maybe even Jarrod(Kitana's father) had it on his head at one point. Reiko isn't Kahn.

ok i know that reiko isn't shao kahn, and yes i said along time ago in this thread that maybe he was, but since i know he's not y not bring him back even if shang has to be him in this one to deceave everyone
