Scorpion a good guy?

Rumors have been going around that Scorpion may join the Lin Keui so he can fight alongside subby to Defeat Quan Chi once and for all..what do you think of this?

No. All you people who think Scorpion should be a hero have lost your minds. I don't care how much you like him. Have you ever thought of why Scorpion is so popular? Its because he is a loner, revenge-seeker, basically he's evil. Changing is character would ruin him, the hell-spawned Scorpion is great, I don't want to see a Scorpion that 'gets along' with anyone.

Scorpion is more like an anti-hero... someone that will kill if he gets his way, but won't take out innocent lives... He did join Shao Kahn in UMK3/MKT which I do not know his reasoning behind that, at least in his ending... he joined Quan Chi only to avenge his family in MK4/MKG, and in MKDA he was alone fighting the evil forces... I think he should lean more towards good guys, but serve his own purposes and if one of those warriors that are Raiden's underlings get in his way, he kill them if neccasary...

Actually, Remmeber that he swore to protect The younger Sub-Zero when he killed his older brother

and Spawn is a hero with dark powers, so why can't scorpion be?

i think we all kinda put togetehr that scorpion is spawn

but yea, scorpion is neutral, but he more pro-good

he makes a lot of mistakes, he trusts the wrong person, great fighter, but not a very smart man, he reminds me of connor from angel, he is gullible and naive and thinks whatever somone tells him to think

Ah, Scorpion's not "evil", nor is he "good". He's the epitome of neutrality... I supposse one could argue that the fact he's from Hell could make him evil, but then again, he spends much of his time going after villains like Quan Chi, so...

But I don't know if he should become an "official" good guy. That'd probably end up detracting from his whole effect...

anyway, i think we all made our point as to what scorpion is

he is a hero, but not a super hero, he wont go out of his way to save the world

he joined shao kahn cause it was the thing to do at the time, but quit because a friend of his(sub-zero) was on the good team

yet, its odd how he can be evil and then neutral, but never good

so he is more of an enigma and i think him and raiden should talk, cause for 1, scorpion just shouldn't be, his entire existence is a paradox, things like him(spectres) belong in hell, he is a prisoner and needs to be in his prison, same goes for quan chi, yet scorpion can be used for good, so raiden better talk to him before the Dragon King make him an offer he cant refuse.

he was evil when he worked for shang tsung, but quit when he learned he would have to kill a friend

i+ just find it odd how he can go from neutral to evil and neutral again, but never be good

Personally, I'd consider Scorpion as an all-around neutral type of warrior. Someone as to whom takes neither side and does as he pleases when and wherever he feels fit. Meaning he's basically an unpredictable loner, who can be calm one moment, and berserk the next. Similar to the WWE's Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Yah.. he is just after revenge.. i don't think he cares if he has to do evil or good things to get it as long as he can satisfy he's hunger for vengeance.
Shin_Akuma was right when he said that Scorpion left Shao Kahn because Kahn wanted to kill Sub-Zero (who Scorpion had sworn to protect).

I think it would be cool if Scorpion was not a member of the Lin Kuei, but instead fought along side them against Quan Chi. This would make more sense, but I believe it is more likely that we see him as a member of the Lin Kuei (even though Scorpion was a member of the Lin Keui's rivals when he was alive, but oh well).

Dude, Scorpion never joined Shao Kahn or Shang Tsung. Scorpion was never really evil, he was just trying to avenge his death. At the end of Mortal Kombat II, he swore to protect the younger brother of the original Sub-Zero. He still doesn't like the original Sub-Zero. In MKT/UMK3, he got out of the Netherrealm but wasn't really on either side at first. That's the Scorpion I like, the neutral one who favors the good guys, but doesn't go out of his way to help them, because his only purpose is to protect Sub-Zero.

he was working for kahn in umk for about a day until he learned that sub-zero was on the good side

the fact is that he can go evil to neutral but never good
