Figured since we keep comming back to Motaro in this that Centaurs may as well be one of the topics of discussion.
We know even less of the Centaurs then we do the Shokans, apparently they've been wiped out by extermination squads, I doubt they could have gotten them all.

No offense to ozzmen, but why start a sheeva kintaro thread when this one is just one page over?

Kintaro and Sheeva are almost void of any kind of story, Goro is the only one of the three that has been more fleshed out.
Goro's story in MK:D really seemed like something that should have fallen into the lap of Kintaro... even though I'm not truely sure where Kintaro's loyalty lies. He may truly be loyal to Shao Kahn, but his pride in his race was shattered when Liu Kang defeated Goro. I'm sure Shao Kahn could have easily enlisted the service of his (one-time?) general to aid him in defeating Onaga. I just hope that Kintaro's as cool in MK:A as he was in MK2. I could just pause the game and almost feel his power! Not only his sheer bulk, but the was he stood and the way he looked... I really hope he has the same fighting stance in MK:A.
I will defend Sheeva. She was the first Shokan that we could use, and she had the same special moves as Goro/Kintaro. And she, unlike Goro or Kintaro in MKT, was quick and had fatalities. I don't know why you guys complain that everyone could beat her, since I was unstoppable with her! So I have my loyalty to Sheeva for being the first playable Shokan, and I'll never forget her. But I'll also say that I'm biased since I lust for her... And why are people saying that Sheeva looked like a female version of Goro like it's a bad thing? I hope she looks like a female version of a Shokan, being a female of her race... unlike you weirdos who want her to look like a female version of a Woodchuck or something.

I neva knew sheeva killed motaro, how did it happen and how did sheeva die???

-Motaro brought back the seriously injured half dead Kano for incarceration.
-Sheeva already planned to dispose of the centaur, assaultedhim and killed th beast.
-Kano as a witness / or being otherwise nearbywas asked by Sheeva to aid in an assault on Kahn, to what kano seemingly agreed.
-however in the throne room Kano betrayed Sheevas intentions to Shao Kahn who supposedly impaled her with a sword.

it doesnt matter, of all of them i think motaro woould destroy kintaro but at the same time i think moloch would kill em all including belokk.

sheeva looks awesome imo. To me, she looks like a demonic hindu goddess and i think that's badass. i think she will die but that's ok as long as she kills a few ppl first
motaro and kintaro have virtually no story at all but i think they are both cool looking. i hope the mk team didn't shrink them too much in the process of making them functional as playable characters. i'd like to see the two of them battle to the death.

I didnt mind Goro or Kintaro when they were introduced. They were pretty good sub-bosses, big and powerful etc.
Kintaro was never explored, making him bland. Im not that into his 'new look' as he looks a lot wimpier than Goro, he should be as well buolt as Goro if not bigger. Dunno what I expect from him in MKA. I dont see him returning in future MKs, and its maybe a bit too late for them to redeem Kintaro.
Goro was overused and ended up ridiculuos due to his multiple comebacks. i pray he isnt the sub boss of MKA.
Sheeva I liked in MK3. She was a decent character, and it was good to play as a Shokan for once. Not a favourite but a good character. Again she lacked development.
For MKD, Id like to see Sheeva on the side of the good guys, possibly helping Sindel. I doubt it will happen though.

Oddly enough, so far it seems that all our Shokan's are playable from the get go. They all seem to have similar styles and weapons.

They seem a bit too similar so far, hopefully you can feel the differences between them as you play with them.
Kintaro is apparently the biggest by far, as he should be, yet his specials seem underdeveloped, even their names are uninspiring. Hopefully he will get two more.

lol, true many are forgetting about Moloch, that bastard will be a force to be reckoned with.
Although I still think Onaga and Motaro will top the hierarchy.
As for the quality of quantity thing, I totally agree, Kintaro may have a limited amount of specials just because he is such a powerhouse.

wats a shokan blade?? is there any pics of sheeva with it? i hope its not just another sword, they're a bit overkill with the swords

I like the Shokans, with Kintaro being my favourite. Sheeva is pretty cool, though I never really cared about her, and Goro is just meh to me.
Story-wise, they could make alot of twists and turns with the Shokans. I'm guessing Sheeva is definately gonna be after Kano, Motaro, and Shao Kahn, which could possibly cause bad blood between her and Goro since Goro is aligned with Shao Kahn. It wouldn't suprise me if Sheeva sided with Sindel/Kitana/Jade to take out Kahn. Kintaro's story is the only one to be questioned. I'm thinking he'll probably side with Onaga, or possibly Shao Kahn alongside with Goro......afterall, Kintaro seems like a shokan with strong blood and pride; probably doesn't like the centaurs at all either.
Btw, I think the tiger look on Kintaro looks sweet. I don't really care if they give an explanation for it or not, afterall, Nitara is a vampire and she has wings. There's probably different types of shokans too; I wouldn't mind seeing another shokan hybrid. IMO a half shokan/lion or half hyena/shokan (grey skin) would be bad ass.
I hope in the next MK we get introduced to a new shokan......maybe Goro's brother, Durac.

Ok, some things are bugging me.
Goro has four pecs and no longer has the spikes on the forehead... that doesn't actually bother me but how it compares to the others.
Kintaro doesn't have four pecs, and I'm still wondering why he's a four-armed feline.
Sheeva... I WISH she had four breasts. But if Goro no longer has spikes on his head, why does she? And did anyone notice she looks black?
Durac... I know he isn't "officially" a character, but I believe he was kelly green in the animated movie.
So do all of the Shokans just look different from each other? Not just in the game, but as a species in a whole?

I think that Sheeva is the best Shokan of them all. In MK3, her combo took like half of your opponents health and she had heaps mad moves. She even killed Motaro. She is easily one of the best characters in the whole Mortal Kombat Universe in my opinion. I hope that she aligns herself with the Edenians.
Goro is pretty good. He is a little overused... I mean compared with the the other Shokan. Kintaro is stronger than him and Sheeva is faster than him, which in a way makes him a mediocre Shokan. He is still pretty cool and I hope he betrays Kahn for Kitana.
Kintaro is one of my favourite characters as well. He was heaps strong in Mortal Kombat 2 and, in my opinion, is the hardest boss / sub-boss out of all of them (except for Shang Tsung and Quan Chi - but thats two ppl). Anyway, I think he will be with the Dragon King... just so we can have one Shokan on the good side, one with the evil side, and one with the 'I dont care if youre good or evil - I am gonna kill you all' side.
