I never liked the cyborgs, except in MK: Annihilation. It might sound silly, but I thought Cyrax and Smoke were really awesome in it. The costumes made them look more like cyborgs than BMX dorks, and the hydraulic sounds they made whenever they moved were cool as well. Not to mention J.J. Perry and Ridley Tsui obviously know how to fight, unlike certain other cast members... :/

Anyhow, I didn't like Sal Divita's performance as the cyborgs in MK3, and I think Cyrax was way too beefy in MKDA... Then again, this is all from a design point-of-view. I don't really mind their storyline or whatever; actually I think it's kind of cool. I'm just a bit disappointed that the cyborgs just weren't *cool* in the actual games. If Midway can avoid screwing up on the cyborg designs in MKD, I won't mind their presence at all. But if they're not going to look good, then I guess I wouldn't mind seeing them being left out.

They are not robots. They are CYBORGS. There is a big difference. Anyway, i think they kick ass and are off the hook pain. All i want is for them to have an improved look in MKD.

I dont think every has grabbed onto the concept that every Ninja will have there own unique look in MKD because its a 3D fighting game.

So far Sub-Zero, Ermac, Noob Saibot, Scorpion, Kitana and Mileena all look completely different.

Cyrax looked freakin awsome in MKDA and I would love for Sector to return and Smoke to return in his human form.

They wont be color swaps and they would all have different moves, so whats the problem?

Boon realises that fans and reviewers frowned upon the pallete swaps of past MK games, so why would he do it now.

I want all the characters to return with updated looks.

robots, cyborgs.. they still suck.

I think MK:D should just have multi coloured kitana's in it and no one else. that would satisfy my needs, all the colours except pink yall know what i mean

actually MK4 is where the series went downhill...in fact, if anything, the Cyborgs made the series more popular and in a sense, better...fresh stories, different looks, different moves...they were the catapult that kept MK goin...just as Sub Zero/Scorp were for MK1...Baraka/Kung Lao for MK2...and finally, Cyrax/Sektor/Smoke for MK3...notice Cyrax was the only new character from MK3 to join MKDA?

if anything made MK go downhill, it was Kitana, Jax and the Ninjas (aside from personal opinion, i mean back when they were noticeably palette swaps)...stale stories is by far the character killer in this particular series, and the above (Kitana n Jax) represent that...hell throw Johnny Cage in there too...

saying the Cyborgs made Mk go downhill is not a good enough reason to back up why u think they dont belong...simply because, well...MK never really went downhill, if MK3 was the start of a downhill slope, then MK would of been dead by now, since there are for more games then there was before MK3...in all obviousness, the series is still going strong...

ill give you the black oil/blood thing tho ;)

thats used as an example, there is still 5 ninjas, thats my point...1 cyborg...my points are directed to those who are saying the cyborgs should leave because of the same old thing, and they dont want to see them palette swaps (which obviously wont happen cuz, like u said, its 3d now and the ninjas are gettin new looks)...i just want someone to point out one character in MKDA who was similar to that of Cyrax...until then, there is no reasoning of the cyborgs leaving with exception to the story, moves, or copying others (not including personal opinion)

I think that, if they do bring back the Lin kuei cyborgs they should either have more distinguished looks like was mantioned earlier or they should come back with only small reminders of their cyborg pasts. Who's to say all the armor they wear isn't removeable. Cyrax took the first step with his alt. outfit in Deadly Alliance. So the other two can also have outfits that reflect what they've been through. Smoke might have been meditating in some desert so he could have only the cyborg boots, bracers, and belt in his out fit. He can have scares all over, with torn gi pants, long hair, and his red glowing eyes. He might have a long sash over his ned that covers the bottom f his face..........Got off topic, sorry. The point is if they do bring back the other modles then give them a personalty based on their experiences.

They post about the good, the bad, and the between makes senes, but is flawed in the the case of smoke leaving. Maybe he tought there were 4 cyborgs.NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The good-Cyrax(surprising). The bad-Sektor(duh). The between-Smoke(obviously). The cyborgs make up the triad of sides. So none of them can be killed off in a simple manner.

i think that is one of the best things about the cyborgs ive ever heard...i never noticed that they could make it a little realistic through their personalities, and how they were treated...i still want Cyrax to go back to the bad side tho! he was more important then...alot of ppl think Sonya well die in this game, Cyrax is easily the best character to approach that with...Sektor doesnt know better...Cyrax could always be reprogrammed...Smoke...well whatever, im just tired of hearing about him...

for the thread i saw earlier about Smoke and another coming back...

COMMON SENSE says if any cyborg makes it back, Cyrax would be the one before ANY of the other two...he aint dead yet, n think...sure once n awhile someone misses a game...BUT, Cyrax couldnt miss the game unless Kenshi, Jax, and Sonya all missed one...how do u explain his absence? cant say he got lost, he was lost in MKDA but was still in the game...I mean come on, I hate newer members...Smoke is the LEAST likely
