Yes, I would love to see him come back.

It would be tite if Rain came back. Some people wouldn't like it because they don't want too many ninjas. I personally want as many characters as possible to make this game awesome.

Rain was a great character,a bit too powerful but still a great character.I would love to see him come back but In the next MK game,we have enough ninjas in MKD all ready.

Of course, bring him back, but not in Deception. Maybe in MK7?

BTW I don't want him to be a ninja again. He's Edenian and his ninja outfit doesn't make any sense. Make him a general of the Edenian forces or something.

Well, he was born in Edenia, but he didn't grow up there. During the war between Outworld and Edenia (who knows how long ago that was or how old Rain is), Rain was smuggled away as a child and no one ever saw him again.

The next time people saw him, he was a ninja working for Outworld in the invasion. I guess he would rather fight his own realm than suffer at the hands of Shao Kahn.

So the ninja suit was probably given to him by Shao Kahn.

and Rain is a cool ninja. I want to know more about him, about his mission, story and importance in mk 6. All ninja's should be come together in this game. the whole ninja gang!!!!!

I like him and think he should be back. I don't really care if he's a ninja because I've been interested in ninja's since way before MK even existed, and like the different spins they are throwing on each ninja costume in this game.

If he's not a ninja, that's fine too, I'm sure he could be quite cool in a unique costume as well. This is one MK where I am completely happy with everyone's character design so far, and that hasn't happend since MK2, so I'm not worried about them 'ruining' Rain in any way if they bring him back as something other than a ninja.

trust me rain is coming bck hes a good carachter the water ball stuff are awesome the only thing is that his fatalties are kind of bad.If the mk team bring back rain they should give him better fatalties.

No. He was a joke, based on a Prince movie, had a hackneyed storyline, a stupid roundhouse kick whose effects made no sense whatsoever, and an utterly retarded uppercut fatality. We've already got a lightning-based character in the series. One is enough.

The only way I'd want to see him back is if the made him a serious, original character, will little to no reference to his old storyline, and a design that is in no way ninja-like. Otherwise, I'd prefer a tombstone.

You guys keep saying that there are too many ninjas. Uhm, its not like its a pallete swap like back in the day. Everyone will look different. If they didn't have the pallete swap back in the days but still had the characters, you probably still would of liked them. Why hate on something that really doesn't matter in this day in age. There are really 2 people in MK:D that actually look like a ninja. Scorpion is a ninja, but doesn't look like one. Sub-Zero doesn't look like a ninja AT ALL. Noob-Saibot is one and actually looks like Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden. Ermac is other one that kinda looks the ninja stereotype with the mask and all. Smoke "from that little image" does look like he's wearing the old school MK1 "ninja" outfit, but we'll see how that plays out. Rain could look totally different looking. That would be the only ninja left btw if you haven't noticed. So really, all this "Too many ninja" business is a lame excuse but everyone does have thier own opnion. I just point out stuff that needs to put out.

I would love it if rain returned. Just give him his own unique look, own moves, decent weapon, and hes in. I think rain is a cool character.

The "MK Problem" is that people seem to be stuck on old characters [Altho Im a huge Kabal fan] whereby they want to see their old Kombatants and moan wen they see new ones....To people that have this attitude, dont you see what ur doin? Ur subconsciously stoppin the MK world from carryin on. Its fair to see say old Kombatants provide interestin storylines but at some point down the line, we need to move on, am I right or am I right?

Therefore I think Rain shud just be left in the past.

Rain was stupid filler in UMK3. He was the cheapest character, another stupid ninja, had no real part in the MK series, and I simply dont see why some MK fans have this love affair with this useless character.

One more ninja couldn't hurt, and besides, he'd feel left out because all of the other ninjas are in. Rain is a kickass character, and he can bring some variation into Kitana's, Sindel's, any Edenians' storyline. It would seem likey that he would come back to protect Sindel.
