never in the series of mortal kombat has the boss "finished you". I would love to see a boss perform a fatality, especially one by the dragon king...but would it break tradition?

Actually, i remember that Motaro and Shao Kahn did have fatalities for the N64 version of MKT. Motaro would rip your head off and look at it in his stance pose, and shao kahn would smash your head with his hammer.
But of course i would love to see the sub boss and boss have fatalities. If regular characters can, then why not bosses?

The more fatalities the better (as long as they are good ones)

is that true? and why only in the N64 version? If Midway does decide to do boss fatalities, i think they should be able to do a stage fatality as well...hypothetically: if the final stage is against the dragon king, and his "lair" sits atop a blazing fire he should be able to throw you down into it, or perform a fatality where he grabs you up into the air holds you so you are face to face and then begins to viciously rip you apart your characters body limb for limb, due to his great moloch like strength...thatd be so cool

Yeah, kahn and motaro did have a fatality each. To bad it was only on one version.
And i agree with your statement. I would love to see the dragon king rip his opponent limb to limb, or any other brutal and gory way. I also think it would be a great idea if he was able to do stage fatalities as well.

I think Moloch was going to have a fatality in MKDA but they didnt have the time to add it.

well the DK/Bosses should not be playable at start... but you should have to do alot of crap to unlock him such as beat the game with every char on every difficulty, open every koffin in the krypt, and bottomline, beat everymode with every character and every single way you can. But yes, the bosses of this one should have fatalities, Stage and Regular.

of course. They should be the most gruesome fatalities of all and these bosses should also be playable via a cheat or something

I agree the sub boss and boss should only be playabale if you accomplish every single thing you can . as far as fatalities go most definatly they should have thier own original fatality

Yeah, it was better when the boss wasn't playable... It was like... they were so powerful that you can't use them, and that makes them more interesting bosses. It make them a little less predictable when you don't really know the mechanics of their abilities like you would a playable character. IMO anyway

Anyway, I think the bosses should have fatalities. And since they are bosses, they should have more than the other characters.

Yes, they should have many fatalities that are very, very dark, and very, very disturbing.
And let's not forget Full-Motion Video endings for the characters in MKD!

But you see, you will have already defeated the boss over 100 times so you will know his every move and could beat him blind folded anyway. And on top of having to do EVERYTHING there is, you should also have to enter a couple of codes after all that.

Yes,YES,YES
Every BOSS and SUB-BOSS should have one.
Every BOSS and SUB-BOSS should have one.
I think they should absolutly have fatalities and the stupid excuse in MK3 "these bosses are so badass they don't need fatalities" I think that would reaffirm their desire to kill you..... And if they don't have fatalities, and you loose they should do away with the finish him part... so that people won't be left to ponder a way to get their fatality.
Maybe an idea is for the dragon king to have 4 or 5 mini finishers or a stage fatality, and they would be more common.. sorta like a reward for even getting there.

I would love to see bosses perform fatalities because if there all powerful they should be able to perform some mega fatalities

I would love to see the boss finish you off. I always though in reality the boss would thrash you senseless for showing such audacity as to challenging him. Itd be cool even if the Boss had a number of finishers that werent fatalities, just things hed do once he won.
For example:
- If he beat you easily, hed mock and taunt you.
- If you put up a bit of a fight, hed kick you while you were down.
- If you came close to winning a round, hed continue to give you a bit more of a beating.
- If you won a round, hed break most of your bones and throw you away like a piece of trash.
- And, if you took it to three rounds and gave him a good pasting and were unlucky not to win, hed kill you deader than its possible to return from (even by MK standards).
