Ok I think it is safe to say that every characters costume in MK was taken from inspiration from someone else's idea.

It doesn't bother me, he does look similar but at the same time he looks different.
The thing on his waist, the bald head, the rolled up sleeve.
I like old school looking characters anyway. If he looks like a guy from an old kung fu movie I'd think that was pretty kool.

Also, watch The Five Deadly Venoms... that is one of the movies Kill Bill gets a lot of influences (Including sound effects) and the somg that is played in Monty Python and the Holy Grail at the beggining when they write in "swedish" is from this movie

not only evryones costumes, it's also safe to say, that every character in mk history has probably been stolen from other movies. read statement about this a week ago

Liu Kang=Bruce lee
Cage=Van damme
Scorpion= Similar to Scorpion from THe Five Deadly Venoms
Kung Lao= Objob from James bond or other asian characters that throw a sharp hat
those are the onnly ones I can remember off the top of my head...

Well I'm just glad to see the MK Team are using real uniforms of Monks and such... at least have a little realism in their looks.
