If such is true, I think the writers of MKD should be suspended for a few weeks, to think about what they've done.

He doesnt necissarily have to be evil to be a foe....he could be good...but i bet hewill be nuetral.

As long as Ermac is not good, it's alright with me. I'd like him to be neutral though.

How is Ermac a demon? He's an amalgam of souls. And he was controled by Shao Kahn, so that suggests more of an Outworld affiliation than Netherealm.

I swear, most of the time the mk fans are MUCH more technical and nitpicky than the MK creaters will ever be...what the guy said is why she is hunting ermac. Maybe he is not a demon, but it said she is to hunt powerful things...i guess not necesarily demons.

I'm glad he's evil. I can't see thousands of dead warrior souls becoming good just cause they are free. Just imagine all the hate inside Ermac for more reasons then we can imagine. They were all dead outworld warriors, they probably did not die of natural causes, meaning they could just want to take their anger out on people. I think of Ermac as a pile of hate, revenge, anger, sadness and what not.
That's not a sign of good to me, more like evil. Maybe one day Ermac will turn good, but it takes time to cope and Ermac didn't have that time when he was under the control of Kahn really.

My bet is neutral or good. I think Ashrah and Ermac are enemies in the same way Scorpion and Shujinko are enemies. Probably just a misunderstanding between the two character's intentions.
Again, I seriously doubt anyone as noble as Ermac would be evil.

I absolutely agree.
i cant really see Ermac being good. He HAS to have some evil and negativity in him. The guy is made up of thousands of souls, and the majority of those souls are probably full with rage, anger, and hatred. I mean, SOME of those souls have to be evil, not just good. I would want Ermacs alignment to either be Evil or Neutral. I'd prefer an "Unknown" alignment as well rather than good. I just cant see him being pure good.
I hope all the souls in him are fighting for control over the body.......one of those souls being EVIL. This could make his story very interesting and add alot of twists and turns to it. One minute hes good the next minute hes pure evil and going insane. This could bring a heap-load of deception to characters like Kenshi.

Excuse me, but where in the hell did it ever say THOUSANDS of souls. I was always under the impression it was maybe a dozen souls maximum. THOUSANDS? That's a lot to fit into the body of a 6'2" tall man, don't you think?

Ermac is "noble"? Where'd that come from? Just because he helped Kenshi in exchange for freeing him doesn't make him a noble warrior of light who fights for truth and justice and the safety of puppies.
Ermac being evil should come as no surprise. Ermac being good has always been fan-canon. It's just something fans made up, spread around and now everyone takes it as fact.
In his MKT ending he frees himself from Kahn's servitude and rules Outworld with his own brand of oppression. While that obviously didn't happen, it's still true that had he won he would have been a tyrant.
He is not a good person. If he is in MKD that will be a retcon. Not the other way around.

Thanks man. Your idea is very good. I wouldn't mind seeing a stuggle between the souls inside of Ermac, since it would make Ermac's story very interesting.

Of course he's evil. He has glowing eyes.
