I've pretty much given up on the possibility of DLC at this point.

I doubt it too, with all this craziness going on with Midway I say the team is probably jumping all over the place trying to get MK9 out by the end of this year.

Yep.TMIday will have to come out with a major title if they dont want to get shut down and go under ect and mortal kombat's baseicly the only thing they own that could save them...to be honest i rather have mk this year then dlc for mkvdc this year...mk 9 just seem's more important then then fighting cyrex with aqua man :)grin

I'd rather have MK in a couple of years when it's been fully polished. Not that Midway has the money for that though.

You'd think DLC would wield a higher profit margin than a brand new MK game. At $15 a character (maybe that's a little high, I dunno) for 4 characters, that's $60, and I'm sure there's far less overheard than with a full retail game. I'm surprised it wasn't ready at Christmas 2008. Maybe Christmas 2009?

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Maybe MK Armageddon bios?

$15 for 4 characters, ahh no,that is way to much for just 4 characters.I say probably $5 for 4 and $10 for 8.And if you are gonna $15 for just 4 ,well that also better include arenas as well.Cause $15 for just 4 characters is a freaken rip off imo.I know some people would pay for it just to have something new,but thats just to much money for so little.

Midway is probably trying to get an M rated MK going to win back the fans that abandoned it and the ones that are on the brink of abandoning it.

@ sonicherosfan1: he actually said $60 for 4 characters. But I agree that even $15 is too much.

ahhhh no. Sales say otherwise. Last I heard, and this isn't confirmed, is that Boon himself is considering paying for it himself.

Where did you hear that from, if you don't mind me asking?

You are referring about Ed Boon buying Mortal Kombat from Midway right? I heard him say he probably couldnt afford it in one of the podcasts.

DLC is looking more and more doubtful. Either way I would like to get some kind of official word from Boon or someone at MIdway to end this continuous speculation. It still seems like they could easily put Quan Chi into the game and charge 5 bucks or something.

Seeing as they have Quan Chi's model, even if it isn't in the actual game and Black Adam is essentially Captain Marvel but wearing black, they would have their pack of 2 characters.

I doubt that is actually happening and they are probably working on MK9 and its perfectly understandable.

I would pay $25 for Noob Saibot and $20 for Doomsday.

I have as much hope for MK/DC DLC as I do for UMK3 on 360 to be patched.

DLC what?

Ain't happening. I've completely forgotten about it by now, and really don't care if it comes out or not. There's really no point now for any DLC as I'm sure most people have forgotten about it or too busy playing other games.

Well, if they have the money to do it (which is truly the issue), DLC would potentially re-inject interest into the game for people who have it, as well as potential buyers.

If its not announced before or at E3 then its not happening.

It'll make sense to reveal MK Vs DCU DLC alongside any sort of MK9 announcement.
