look he was fighting ermac maybe it wasn't a hari kari move maybe it was ermacs other fatality where he takes control of the opponents body and makes them kill themselves it would most likely be alot longer

Ermac was dizzy though...this just doesn't make sense.

If this is meant to be correct in that the winner kills himself, i think that it should only be possible after a fatality is performed on the loser first. Then the winner does the hari kari on himself. And to do this you would have to win without using block or something like that (like the friendship/babality in MK2).

Otherwise the hari kari should be performed by the loser.

Tomtaz - don't worry about it. I'm not. It happens all the time. It's just got to be the right timing for when people reply that's all.

Ok people... this was discussed a long time ago in a chat or transcript with the team for the game.

Boon, or someone else I can't exactly remember - anyway, they explained the hari kari. From my understanding, a hari kari is a suicidal method.

Anyway, they explain that if you lose a match, YOU can kill yourself (peform a hari kiri) BEFORE the other person performs a FATALITY on you.

It will basically be a match to see who can kill who first. It's fun. Yay.

Hey TomTaz, no worries dude, its no biggie. Keep up the good work.

Peace Out
I think it will be changed for when the game is finished.

The winner killing themselves makes no sense at all.

I'm pretty sure it will be changed.

The hari-kari move is for the opponent that loses; it gives them a chance instead of just sitting there watching for a fatality to try to beat the winner at doing the hari-kari. It's a battle to see who gets to do the finish move first!

it's the mentality of "I will kill myself before I allow u to kill me" like in the movies.

the hara kiri move could involve the loser hitting the winner and stunning them so they can suicide.

This topic has done been discussed and has been confirmed that the losing opponent has the choice to let the winner kill them (or try to kill them) or they can beat them finishing themselves off instead. MY GOD do ya'll ever listen (this news is so OLD)!

Exactly what I was about to say. If this isn't just a case of early programming, then it's easy to assume that the other guy wants to do his fatality first and might stop the suicide if he/she isn't stunned.

Exactly.

Jeez, I thought this board would've weeded out the stupidity by now, but making my return I see it's just as rampant as ever.

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with stunning the other opponent! C'mon, this is common damn sense people. You wouldn't need to kill yourself if you could disable the damn opponent! How stupid could you be? Sure, if I'm in a fight and I manage to knock some guy dizzy, the first thing I'd want to do is kill myself. Please people. Use your brains. MK tends to stretch reality, not cater to stupidty.

It's early programming, plain and simple. Boon has stated the loser of the match will be able to do the finisher. It's the same reason there are different names aligned to fighters the names clearly don't identify. It's a BETA version of the game. Programming is still being worked on, and bugs are getting tested and worked out. It's probably the result of a programmer play-testing the finisher easily.
