Sonya looks beautiful! I love her sarcastic eyebrow, the hair looks cool, and that piercing she has on her belly button is an excellent addition! Plus the thong makes her look sexy, tough...but sexy

The only thing I kind of find weird is that the MKTeam is trying WAY TOO HARD on making the characters look “realistically human”. I was just seeing the pics of Kung Lao and Liu Kang. Their human faces aren’t really that good, same with Sonya.

While I love her face, its not as good as it could be, too much cheeks IMO, but she still looks pretty. They should redo those cheeks, but other then that, I love her. Her MKDA look is still my fave though, looks tough and feminine.

Same with Liu Kang and Kung Lao, just look at those noses! Not so good...

But either way, Sonya looks sexy, deadly, mean, sarcastic and pretty. I give her a 9.5/10

As for Kano, AMAZING!!! I LOVE his laser eye. SO cool! He looks excellent! (Terminator)

Personally, i think she looked ugly. Is it just me or does all the characters in MK: SM look ugly? (i think its just me ) But seriously, its hard to look at one of my favorite MK character look so ugly. Shes more uglier then Li Mei in MKDA!

Anyway, thats just the render. i dont think she look that bad in-game. So yeah. Im done venting...

Okay sure, her face doesn't look that great but c'mon! She's got that whole tough chick look which i find irresistable. I guess not every video game woman can be pretty, at least they're making beauty standards more realistic.

No other MK character gets so many drastic changes made to them like Sonya. In no 2 games does she look like what she did in the previous installment. Now, mess up her teeth and you have Mileena.

I was happiest with MK3 Sonya. Make her look like that again, Boon.

I'm getting the impression that they're intending Sonya to look butch, given this render, her appearance in MKDA (and even her costume in MK1 looked kinda....unfeminine). So, yeah, people ya wanted your ugly woman in midst of all the beauties (aka a change from the norm)....here she is - Sonya Blade. I like the idea of Sonya being ugly. I dunno why.

I think they are going for the more realistic approach. Not every chick in real life looks amazing. She's not ugly, and I bet most yall who say she's ugly are going out with someone who looks equally or not as good lookin as she does in that render. Stop trippin..she looks fine IMO.

Kano looks great..I personally hate Kano, but fans of his should be very pleased with his render. I love the detail in how his skin is still kinda scabbed and charred up from the surgery to implant the laser eye.

Hey, does anyone know how that happened again with his eye? I totally forgot. I think I remember it being a chemical explosion or somethinig.

Neither Kano or Sonya are one of my favorites, but the renders do make them rather appealing. I hope we can get renders of some of the bosses, though.

AS for Sonya being ugly I seriously don't think she is. MKSM renders look realistic and anyway since when did supermodels jin the military. Who said Sonya had to be perfect. But Sonya is imo great looking and she does seem to be the best looking female in the game. (Mileena is understandable, Jade we havn't really seen even and Kitana actually was ugly..

And the user who questioned about Kano's eye, they never made it clear how his face ended up like that. All we know is that some doctor did surgery on his face. It was the same guy that did Hsu Hao's artificial heart.

The one thing I didn't like about sonya from DA they kept... THAT THONG STICKING OUT! She looks like a HOOCIE MAMA!!!

She does seem to have changed a bit but then who cares as long as she looks better next time round. And she does not get the most drastic changes! Also I hate to disagree but If I ever see anything like that MK3 outfit. Kerri Hoskins was the perfect Sonya Blade she demonstrated that in MK4 but in MK3 her costume was, for lack of a better word, bollox. She didn't look like she was in the military she looked like some street chick who just got out of an aerobics class. Her MK1, Mk4, MKDA and now her MKSM looks have good military looks which suit her since that's what she is. (p.s I hope we see the leg grab, kiss of death and square wave punch, we already saw the purple rings all of which are big Sonya trademarks I'd love to see her use. )
