How about we come up with ideas for special attacks, or moves that involve special powers like a reversal.

Any character is ok. The MK team could look them over for inspiration.

You can also come up with moves for original fighters.

You can just make a list, or you can go into detail on how they could be used in certain situations.

I'll start with Kabal.

Kabal's ground eye beam would stay like in MK3.

The web spin would have to be modified to maybe a run and hit attack, like a supper dash attack. Something similar to Makoto 's dash punch in Street fighter 3. It could be a tackle or something.


The dash could also be used to move around the stage and maybe to have longer juggles.

He could have a dash by it self. His normal run could be the super dash.

He could run around fireballs and attack.

He could have a run jump. Where you run a and jump making the jump be longer. like the super jump in king of fighters. This would enable him to jump over projectiles like in UMK3.

He could have a slow motion move where everything would move very slow and kabal would move at normal speed. It would look sort of like what Jet lee could do in "The One"

Kabal could be just as tough or tougher with these moves in his arsenal than what he was in UMK3.

And how about weapon Throws, or maybe reptile could hit with his tail sometimes. Scorpion should do something more with his spear, i don't know, a swipe or something like that.

You can elaborate on other peoples ideas too.




I would like Rayden to teleport with a crack of lightning.

For example the teleport could look like in MK2, but lightning would crash in both places when he teleports.

The same move could cause a pop up if the opponent is close. Like rain's lightning bolt attack.

I would also like for Rayden to stand up like he used to in the 2D games.

He could teleport while in the air, and during a hit animation when he get's thrown. His teleport could be like a quick recovery move.


I would like for his lightning strike to be like a real lightning bolt. It would curve in the air like the ghost busters gun. It could be a regular hit, or a pop up.

I would like that move to throw the opponent back, like the MKDA pop up moves.


If close to a wall you can use the lightning strike and like the ghost busters you would be able to lift the opponent, and slam them against a wall while they are off the ground, and maybe keep zapping them for a second or 2.

Well i post a thread earlier and nobody answered. What about bringing back some old ones also?

The Torpedo and Teleport in Raiden specials.

The teleport punch in scorpion

Shang Tsung summoning a warrior that do something and vanishing after

Give more move in some characters.

Kitan's throwing fans don't vanish (like hat in Kung Lao's Hat throw)
Scorpion's teleport could use portals like in the movie.

Instead of just having him appear from the side of the screen. It would look better if he came out of a portal.

The portal could look like a water ripple, maybe some light coming from it.

Rayden can have a power up where his eyes glow extremely bright, like the boss in big trouble in little china.

The powerup would be called "Static charge" When he hits you, you would be shocked at the same time, like with static.

He would also become a lot stronger and when he hits the opponent, they would fly like in DOA3.

Kabal could have a dash by gut punch that stuns the opponent.

The web spin can be made so it's not so exaggerated like in MK3. Just have the opponent spin like 2-3 times with motion blur, then have them wobble a bit like after scorpion's spear in MKDA.

Kabal could have an evasion dash, just a quick dash that can work like the side step. It could be like 3 steps max.

I would call it the "Flash step" He would only be able to do 2 in succession without delay.
That way it's not cheep.

He can have a 180 Dash that would work the same as Reiko's + LK in MK4.

This move could be chained to a normal attack like the specials in MK4. So he could do a strong attack that knocks the opponent away, then he could do a 180 Dash and attack them from behind.

He could have a quarter dash that would put him on the left or right side of his opponent. It would work the same as the 180 Dash.

I can imagine some real nasty combos with these moves.
What else, I'm sure you guys have a ton of ideas.

Let's see them.
OK I have some more.

When Rayden throws a lightning bolt Like Ghost Busters. He can have multiple ways of throwing it.

He doesn't even have to point his hands towards the opponent, he could point them to the side, and the bolt would curve around and still hit the opponent.

It would be cool if you could charge this move, and have him do some cool hand animations like that guy from "Big trouble in little china."

A way to do this move could be
Down, Back, 1= regular spark toss from MKDA.
Down, Back, 1 and hold. For over 3 frames, and he will go in to the cool hand motions.

Sort of like IVY does in SC2.

The longer you hold it the stronger it becomes, with a limit of course. Like Weak, Med, Strong.
Depending on how long you hold (1).

At any time while Rayden is doing the hand animations, you can tap the D. pad in any direction and release (1) to have him do 1 of 4 possible animations for throwing the bolt.

They would all do the same thing, but he would have like 4 different hand motions for throwing it.

i think she should do her rising force ball

she should be able to fly and screa at the same time

she should be able to grab you with her hair and hit you with her force balls at the same time

and i think she should take Kabals running move. it fits best with her.

For her scream, She could delay the attack.

you know how you take a deep breath before you scream.

You would hold the last button, and you could delay how long she takes the deep breath before she screams.

You might be able to cancel this move too.

The delayed scream can cause a guard break. Allowing you to get a free hit.

A variation on the fireball could be a shock wave scream that hit's the opponent knocking them far away.

The pitch of her scream would be different for this move, and it would be a quick yell.

About as quick as if you yelled out HEY!!!

You would see a distortion in the air.

For Nightwolf

He can throw a green energy Hatchet like Kano used to in the old games


He should keep the Projectile Reflect
The shoulder dash too, but it could be like a jumping tackle instead of a slide to make it different from Rayden's Charge attack.

He should keep the Green arrow, and the Red one too.
To do the different speed arrows, you could tap.

Down, Down Back, 1= fast
Down, Down back, Back, 1= normal speed

The arrow can also be delayed, and he would be able to track the opponent. That would be great against players that like to side step a lot.

Just for a cool effect, for the Reflect move.

If Nightwolf is fighting himself, and he throws the hatchet.

The Reflect move will be special just for that attack.

He would catch the flying hatchet in the air, and toss it back at the other Nightwolf.

Smoke-Ninjitsu Slash. He uses Ninjitsu speed to the point of light speed and runs through you with his hands powered up like blades. He does this from one end of the ring to the other twice.
Optical camouflage.

Sektor-Heat Seaker Barrage. He opens up all of his armor and shoots a missle barage all over the stage.

Jax-Rocket Punch-He shoots his fists out and if they hit they hurt.

Kenshi-telekenetic slash-He throws his blade like a circular saw at his opponent using telekenesis.

Scorpoin-Spectral Concentration-Scorpion uses a classic move where he makes duplicates of him self using souls.

Rayden-Lightning Cage-he surrounds the opponent with a cage of lightning, immobilizing him for a combo set.

Sub-Zero-Ice armor-he freezes the air around him, making ice armor depending on how mich power use.

Sub-Zero-explosive ice shuriken-A twist on his ice grenade in MK2. He forms seven shurikens,the same way he forms his Kori Blade. He shoots them at his opponent and they blow up.
Deep freeze-eliminates the ice back fire for three shoots. He can freeze the opponent three times over. They take damage after the third shoot.
Awesome ideas
Scorpion

He can use his spear like a Whip. He could have many ways to throw the spear. For example, swing it around then throw it from behind his back.


Some of these extra spear toss animations could be chained to a combo like in the FMV when he is fighting Quan chi in the Shokan palace.

Smoke can have a ninja style teleport, with a puff of smoke.

Ermac

Tellekinitic Slam: Not the lift, but This move can only catch the opponent in the air. It would force the opponent to the ground a LOT harder than normal, and they would not bounce.

It would look sort of like Fujin's slam , Down + LK only that the opponent does not bounce.

This move is good for when you can't use the lift any more. It would come out faster than the lift.

It would also be good for slamming the opponent through the floor.

Tellekinetik pain surge: He would put his hand towards the opponent. His hand would be shaking, like he was straining.

This move would cause the opponent to feel an extreme surge of pain, they might even start convulsing.


The longer this move lasts the weaker the opponent will look. They start standing, then they fall to their knees, then they end up laying on the floor. If you don't get out of this move, it could kill you.

The opponent would let out a scream like they would for a fatality in MK3.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

This attack would last for like 2-5 seconds on average, but it has no limit if the opponent doesn't escape it.

You would have to tap the buttons real fast like the holding throw moves in street fighter (Balrog's head butt for example) to make the attack last longer.

The Victim would have to smash the buttons really fast to to get out of it faster.

This attack would need a difficult command to execute because of the high potential for damage.

Telekinetic Lift: The lift would be able to hit opponents when they are laying on the floor.
Sektor:

Blow torch: He throws a quick stream of fire, sort of like scorpion did in MK4, but from his fore arm.


He could use both arms at the same time.

They should bring back Scorpions move that he used in Mk4 when he takes off his mask and blows a quick thing of fire, that was cool. Also they need to have Sindels scream, but with out those liitle lines like Kitanas move in Mk:Da, maybe like Bleed said just distort the backround a little, sorta like how the maxtrix looks in slow motion.
yeah, I liked scorpion's fire breath move in MK4. I used it alot just cause it looked cool.

Yah that idea about Raidens teleport and the lightning striking when he does it sounds soo awesome!! That would make him awesome if he could do it in the air and stuff like u said. That would make Raiden 100x cooler, hes kinda boring now
How about some new moves for Baraka. grin

What do you think he could have?

Baraka should have a bite move that gives him life like Nitaras bite move did, after all he has the nasty razor sharp teeth, y not put them to use lol. Also he should keep his spark fire ball thing along with his blode fury move thing he had. Thats all i can think of
I agree....cool ideas.

I would give him some charging slash attacks.
Maybe a slash, that links to the Run animation.

Like Mitsurugi's ( >,>+V,V,V ) in SC2

He should have a ton of blade related moves, not only in his weapon stance. He would look similar to Voldo from SC2 but without the funky moves.

He would also have a lot of smooth flowing, and circular attacks sort of like Ling Xiaoyu from Tekken 4

But filter the moves out so he looks serious when he fights.

I would give him some projectile dodging attacks. Very animalistic looking moves.

For example, a Roll, and stab
Jump, claw dive slash into a ground roll.

That move can link to the roll and stab.

Maybe a side step and slash move.

He can have a Dodge move like Steve Fox has in Tekken 4 that can link to other attacks.

When your opponent is on the ground, he could hack at them with his blades, sort of like a golf swing, but with one arm obviously.

He could mount the floored opponent, and bite their face, you would see the 2 fighters struggling, and eventually Baraka would be thrown off by the opponent.

He can have a taunt move where he roars like in the trailer.

If you do the taunt, and the opponent is close to you they will freeze for a sec. like you startled them. They might stumble back a couple steps like they are scared.

This move would give you a chance to lunge in and attack.

It would work sort of like Sindel's scream.

Since Baraka is like an animal, and I see him as a very crazy fighter. I would give him the ability to take hits from some fireballs and have them not faze him too much if he is running towards you.

So he would be able to withstand the impact of a fireball while running and it would not stop him. He might flinch a little, but keep running.


For an added effect, if he takes a hit by a fireball while he is running, he will start to roar as he keeps running. Like if all you did was piss him off.

His voice might crack too because he is so crazy.

It would look something like this.

Bleed, you are a true fighting game fan...

I got some ideas for characters

I would like some counter-attacks that each character could use in his/her own unique way.

For example if an opponent threw a hit at you you could press an extra button that would be for countering attacks and reversing. using the directional pad along with the button you press will enable you to perform different types of dodges and counters.

Cage could grab the opponent's leg and take his palm to bash ur opponent back making him/her fall onto their belly. Cage would then give a taunt that would gain him some lost life while the opponent is struggling to get up. This move could also be used for starting juggling combos.

Raiden could lift the opponent up above his head, give a shock then bash him/her to the other end of the level with a strong punch making the opponent loose a strong amount of health. (after all he is a god)

Kung Lao could grab the opponent by the arms and ram his hat into the opponent's chest making them stumble back and leaving them vulnerable for a combo attack.

Think of some ideas for some counter-attacks for other characters.

Sub-Zero:
One move he could have is that he could flash freeze around his arms, forming ickles. They would only last a few hits, but would increase his punching attacks. Remember the web gloves in Spiderman on playstation, like them.

Baraka:
I've already posted this, but i'd like to raise it again. Notice how he has heaps of metal on his arms, but only uses one on each arm for his blades. He could use these other metal bits to form a drill on each arm. they would be smaller than Baraka's blades, but they would spin around really fast.

Ermac/Kenshi:
This move could be used by either of them. I know this move is in Psi-Ops, but it's too cool to let off. Using their pshyic powers, E/K would start to flame from their forehead, like a flamethrower. The move would complete its damage if the opponent was hit by it. But if they weren't, E/K would collect all the embers into one ball and shoot it at the opponent.

Scorpion:
Seeing that he's a ninja, why hasn't Scorpion used any throwing stars at ALL? Like in Revenge of Shinobi, Scorpion would jump up for a front flip, and a mass of throwing stars would rain down on the ground, hopefully hitting the opponent.

Baraka:
#1 punch reversal= Bite your arm, and yank on it like a dog while hacking away with both blades at the opponents ribs (sort of like a blade furry) It would look like a bunch of fast uppercuts like Steve Fox does in his intro animation in Tekken 4.


The opponent would then pull their arm out of Baraka's mouth Stumble back, fall and do 1 sloppy looking back roll finishing the animation facing down.

#2 Leg reversal= Grab leg with right arm and hold it at waist height, then with the left arm, do a back hand slash to the opponents neck.

The opponent would stumble back holding their neck with blood gushing

You would hear a gurgling sound.

Sub Zero:

#1 Punch reversal= Grab opponent's fist, and hold it while slowly freezing their arm. The opponent screams while holding their arm, and they are brought to their knees as a result of the pain.

Then Sub winds up a powerful backhand that sends the opponent flying. They do a back flip type motion. Like when you hit someone with Sonya's Round house kick. I think it's Tae Kwon Do ( 3 )

If you do a linker during the reversal, like tap 1,2,1 Like one of King's throw chains.

When Sub Zero is winding up the back hand, he could form a bunch of large Icicles around his forearm, then hit the opponent with that. Blood flying all over the place. Causing extra damage.

Rayden:

#1 Punch reversal= Slaps opponent hand out of the way, and does a quick hand motion that flows into a shove like move one hand at chest height, and the other at stomach height. He does a lightning blast that makes the opponent fly like 12 feet.

When he does that the entire screen could flash for 1 frame.

#2 His >>+1 throw can be a reversal attack.

#3 Kick reversal= Grab opponent's leg, spin 180 degrees and toss them almost straight up like 10 feet.

Then he would do a vertical lightning bolt like in his MK4 win pose. He would hold the opponent in the air with that bolt for 3 seconds.

If there is a ceiling, the opponent would hit it hard, and debris would fall down.

Then When the opponent is falling back to the ground, Rayden would be open to attack with a juggle.


This move could knock the opponent to an upper level, like the uppercut's in UMK3.

#4 Punch Reversal= Parry, and super uppercut.

This move could knock the opponent to an upper level too.


Once up in an upper level with a hole in the floor. Characters will automatically walk around the hole, like they do with the statues in MKDA.

If you get popped up, and you land in the hole, then you would fall back down through it.

But you need to be knocked in the hole, you can't just walk in to it.

Well, i was thinking, some of the female characters, or Scorpion , could do a scorpion kick, you know, like trinity in the matrix. Hell, my friend can do it, so why not scorp? Rayden could simply counter a punch by grabbing the hand and electrocuting the opponent trought his/hers arm. Baraka could like punch the opponent in the gut, then fold out his blade in to the opponent.
Reptile too, has big teeth, you get the point, and the acid in his mouth could hurt the opponents even more. A nice throw reversal could be like, the opponent tries to throw over the shoulder, you flip over, and do the same to him? Also, i was talking about weapon throws, cage could grab the enemy at the throat with his nunchakus( that's how you spell it) and toss them or whatever and kabal or mavado, anyone with hookswords could grab with the hooks. anymore ideas, anyone?
