(SPOILER) Be careful…Jax is very very angry (Pic inside).

Is Sonya supposedly "dead" in this scenario? If so, then there's your anger source.

I've suggested the possibility that Onaga corrupted the Earth's heroes by exploiting the evil in their souls numerous times.
In regards to Jax....ahh fuck it, I'll just copy my original post on the subject:
Jax's Unchained ending makes mention of some sort of strong anger within Jax.
Is this the start of Jax's complete corruption? Will this becme a factor in Armageddon for Sonya and related characters? Can Jax actually become an interesting character? Does he actually have some depth?
Food for thought...

Like say Jax. Say deep down, Jax feels a little bit of bitterness towards Sonya. Deep inside, he doesn't like that she's constantly getting him into trouble. He's human, there are things about even our best friends that bug us even just a little bit. But normally, it's nothing major.
Now enter Onaga who when resurrecting Jax looks into his soul and finds this little bit of hostility. He exploits it and corrupts Jax with it, making him his slave.
Now say even after Onaga's destroyed, this corruption doesn't go away entirely. And it starts to fester and grow. Jax doens't like being treated as Sonya's sidekick even though he outranks her. He doesn't like that she's constantly dragging him into these battles. He doesn't like that she got him killed. It builds and builds until finally, Jax's soul is fully corrupted by evil and he turns.

Really great ending. Jax used to be one of my all time favourites. But he started to get boring over the games. And in Deadly Alliance, he made me like his character more. But, the fact that he wasn't in Deception, made me sort of forget about him. This ending gives me hope that he is a great character, like he always have been. I hope he turns out as agressive in Armageddon.

Actually, 66.6% is only the probability that Jax has an ending in which he kills Onaga. The probability that his ending is true (given that he has killed Onaga in his ending) is .05%, or 1/20 (20 being the approximated number of people in Unchained who kill Onaga in their endings, based on the original figure).

Thats 100% possible, but since they didnt really mention that (would had been extremely easy to suggest thats the reason why he is the way he is now) as the reason or one of the reasons, Im thinking there is something more to his anger, something dangerous.

This is kind of interesting considering Jax has never had much of an interesting storyline. I think that when Onaga resurrected the 5 heroes, he brought out their dark sides and manipulated them so that they can serve him for his evil purposes.
It would also be great to see the confidence problem be incorporated from the MK Annihilation movie into MK Armageddon since that adds a bit more depth to his overall character. I think that for the closure to his story, he should gain self-confidence and ditch the bionic arms, using his own strength and skills to defeat his opponents.

I love your idea of the "confidence problem"! Its really good and will definitely add depth to his character, plus its actually nice to see a different face of Jax in the games, he always looks too...er, bland, a bit boring maybe? So yeah, I like your idea.

shouldnt this be in PORTABLE KOMBAT forums?
the only MKA relevant thing i see is jax's changed attitude and what that can contribute to

pretty cool
and let's not forget the possible ending of MK4 where Jax let Jerek fall to his doom. If I recall correctly. That's a pissed off waning good guy thing to do.
I'm not a huge Jax fan, but bravo to the Earth-goodie goodies. There may be hope for those boring characters yet.

Well, I think that’s justified and supported by the fact that Jarek actually “killed” Sonya in his presence. Anyone would had exploded the way he did, I guess.

I actually think that Jax was a little too calm after Jarek killed Sonya. He should have been like "WTF U BITCH!!!1" and then Piston Punched him off the edge.

imo jax showing brutallity and anger on onaga does not show any hint of darkness assuming thats what you are saying. it should be natural that jax would want to kill onaga if he were trying to take everything over because jax is good he needs to fight with all he has to stop onaga because onaga is evil. maybe his soul could be tainted. and they might do something like that in mka. but for now i think jax was so voiolent with onaga because jax realizes that he is a serious threat and needs to be stopped.

The ending makes a specific reference to some terrible anger in Jax that Shujinko was concerned about. There has to be a reason for them to point that out...otherwise, why bother mentioning it at all?
That's like in a movie a character saying "I'm afraid of spiders" and not once in the whole movie does that character encounter a spider. You don't just randomly say things or point things out for no reason.
That's improper storytelling.
Now granted, this is Mortal Kombat and the MK team are not exactly Pulitzer prize winning novelists...for them to say Jax's incredible anger was simply because Onaga was a bad guy and Jax just REALLY hates bad guys would be a toal cop out and dirt poor storytelling.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!
A great ending, or a terrible beginning?
Just imagine if later in the year, Midway suddenly revealed that Blaze wasn't the boss after all, and that it was Jax that was the true final boss!
I can just imagine evil Jax as the boss, haha! I'd be so wanting to beat him and stop him saying his catchphrases constantly as he pounds the crap out of me!
