**If you don’t want to know any story-info about MKU/A then I suggest you don’t read the fallowing.**

Jaxs ending in MK Unchained is pretty simple, obviously not 100% cannon, but it does have a particular and interesting piece of information about his character, something that might play a central role in MKA.

Shujinkos words:

“The Dragon King had defeated us all, save one: Jax. And though I had absorbed the fighting abilities of those who had aided me, I lacked the raw anger that propelled Jax into battle. Brutally pounding Onaga into submission, Jax finally ended the conflict by embedding a Kamidogu in the would-be rulers head.

Where he summoned so much rage from, I cannot say. I only hope that his anger is finally purged.”

I think this clearly hints the possibility of having a “semi-evil Jax” in the game, something similar to Li Mei in Deception actually. This also makes me wonder, could it be possible that all the heroes who were resurrected, are now tainted with evil?

This is the second time Jax shows pure brutality and anger in the games: First when killing Hsu Hao (he was obsessed! If it happened or not its not the point, the point is that he was very angry), and now with Onaga.

What could had happened to Jax to make him so angry? Something to do with a tainted soul? Or a personal fact/truth we have no idea about?

All of the sudden Jax seems to be very interesting.

That's a really good ending.

As for the rest of the enslaved people (Sonya, Kitana, Cage, Kung Lao), it would be a great twist for all of them to turn evil. Especially with Sonya being so high ranked in the Special Forces, and Kung Lao being such a loyal monk type guy.

I agree, and of course Jax isn't the only pissed off character. The other two obvious ones are Raiden and Li Mei, and who knows what Reptile is going to be like when he gets his body back.

How could Jax be evil if he killed a bad guy?

This is not like Raiden turning on Shujinko.


I just think that he was angry lol. I really like that ending however

I too agree it would be a great twist, but it would be a horrible twist if --all-- of them are evil.

It wouldn’t really be special or have the deeper plot it could have if suddenly all the main protagonists are on the bad side, there would be little conflict or story in that aspect (Im not sure if Im being clear).

And if all of them are confused like Li Mei, well, theres nothing interesting there, it would be too repetitive. Nothing that adds.

** Johnny Cage being evil/confused though....now --that-- has enough potential to give some spice to his character. He needs it.

Sonya, Kitana, and Kung Lao can do well in the good side. They just need a small twist.

More then half the endings aren't real anyways. common about 2/3 of the roster end up killing onaga. only one of those endings is the true ending.
therefore.there is a 90% jax's ending is not real

That is a very intresting theory that i wouldn't be surprised if somehow all the people onaga controled got some evil inside them some how something tells me to worry bout kitana cause she is the only one of the 4 to have experence acually doing evil things. (former assassian)

True, but when Shujinko says: "Where he summoned so much rage from, I cannot say. I only hope that his anger is finally purged", it kind of gives you the feeling that Jax is leaning towards the "dark side".

Could be wrong though.

Although 2/3 of the characters killed Onaga in their ending, that doesn't mean that the rest of the ending didn't happen.

For example, in Liu Kang's ending, he most likely didn't kill Onaga, but he still could have got his body back.

Good stuff though, Q!

You can find my thoughts in the other thread, but I'll leave you wth this. Jax is free of Onags's control in MKU. His bio must tell how he broke free or something as it just doesn't make sense, what with Ermacs ending being where he saved them. Regardless, this ending is non canon. It just gives us more insight into Jax. Anger is a powerful tool after all.

Exactly. Or like Sonyas Mk3 ending, she did defeat Kano in that mountain, but never faced Motaro or Shao Kahn.

How can this thread be in the wrong section when Im referring to Jaxs possible "evil" or "twisted" role in MKA and what to expect from him in that game? Makes more sense then the 100 forum games around in this section.

Anyway, I too think he never defeated Onaga, but he has been tainted, somehow, or we have no idea about something that could had happened to make him this angry.

With luck, he could even get to fight Sonya. Interesting...

Ah, then I guess you're alright having it here. The MKU ending though raises questions. Lol.

As for Jax, why does he need to have a taint to be angry? Jax is mad! Raw anger the ending says. He got killed. He was under Onaga's control. His friends and allies have all just been defeated. I don't know about you all, but I'd be very pissed off. I wouldn't need to be evil in any way to feel angry about all of that at all. Jax and his friends have been messed with. If that were me and my friends, I'd be raising hell. I don't see Jax with a taint. That's genuine anger due to being killed, used and seeing his friends fall.

Very true in essence, but can we be entirely sure?

The way Shujinko speaks about Jaxs anger feels like he is hinting something, that’s why Im assuming his role in MKA might be a bit chaotic with self struggle, something like Li Mei. Its possible.

That anger seems important.

If Jax turns evil, then imo the special forces storyline finally might get interesting. It’s been on a one track road until now, but it does seem like it’s getting more interesting with the preview of Sonya facing Sektor in a war-ship, also sounding funny the way it was written. I’d very much like to see Sonya confront her old partner with all of his anger, one of them might have to put the other down. Not to mention what Kenshi and Cyrax would do in the ordeal.

That is a good ending but Blaze's bio...........If you have seen it......it sets the story for MKA and its a pretty damn good story and read the bio then watch the konquest intro movie I posted.

He's alright now i suppose. They made him go crazy which add some nice personality to him but he still missing something..... not sure but he is going into a right direction but very slowly though.

This is kind of interesting considering Jax has never had much of an interesting storyline. I think that when Onaga resurrected the 5 heroes, he brought out their dark sides and manipulated them so that they can serve him for his evil purposes.

It would also be great to see the confidence problem be incorporated from the MK Annihilation movie into MK Armageddon since that adds a bit more depth to his overall character. I think that for the closure to his story, he should gain self-confidence and ditch the bionic arms, using his own strength and skills to defeat his opponents.

If this is true, maybe it's because jax is not only angry about the OIA thanx to hsu hao and all the trechary as oopsed to shang and quan wiping out almost everyone.

I think he want's retribution to be honest.

i think that all the ressurected dudes being semi-evil would be AWESOME!
