****SPOILER****Gamespot's hands-on says that....

MK: Deception won't have any downloadable content on any console. Boon has hinted about downloadable content in MK7.
mkt n64 lacked 2 playable bosses and classic sub-zero. granted that was due to space issues but my point is it would not be the first time console versions have different amounts of fighters for an mk game. i am getting the xbox version in oct and 6 months later, yes 6 months later, it would actually be cool to get the gc version with a few fresh fighters in the mix.

Yeah I'm very aware that exlusive characters have been done before, and it was unfair then. I didn't have MKT for the Playstation, and I didn't have the exclusive playable boss characters like Goro or Kintaro. Sure, the N64 didn't get a lot of things for cartridge reasons, while the Playstation did because of it's CD usage.

I'm glad you can be an ass and try to shoot down my optimism. It's always a possibility, because the whole situation isn't a fair one. I don't want to be cheated out of a possible character that could've been my favorite. Like I said, I have both a XBOX and a GC, and I'll play as all the characters one way or another. It seems that you have a Gamecube, so this doesn't even apply to you, but obviously it'll apply to others that just got cheated out of part of the game.

The PS2 version says this, exactly:
Regular and limited edition versions of the game will be available for both platforms as well. A GameCube MK:D will follow. While it will lack online play, it will include some bonus content that will help flesh out its package.
I'm not sure why it would say two different things.

Well I'm really hoping that the extra characters are true, I'm getting the GC version regardless, because I don't have online play. I truely think its fair if GC gets an extra character or two, we won't get online play, the PS2 and XBOX owners will have a much more replay value in theirs. And yes it's cruel marketing, but it's smart marketing, more money.
Also hearing that Shang Tsung is still alive! Best news I've gotten in months, I bet anything the Deadly alliance are super unlockables.

Yeah smart marketing is right. I'd love to be on the other end of this thing
. And I agree hearing that the DA was still alive was fantastic news, I'll all also guess that they will both be "super secret" characters.
