Thanks again for the info Kano_Fan. Good stuff.
"special moves = the number varies from player to player - subzero only has the ice clone and freeze moves while kobra has about 5 moves."
Ouch. If Sub-Zero, arguably the most popular character in the MK franchise, has only two special moves, I foresee allot of fans being disappointed. sad
But it was only an 80% complete build, so I guess there is still hope. I would have guessed that Sub was going to have *at least* three specials.

Sorry if I and others are asking too many questions. But I want to know is there a significant reason as to why Noob-Smoke is the sub-boss? Are they the protectors/bodyguards of Onaga. Can the reasoning be discovered through the Konquest mode?

no reason was given at all - and noob's bio (noob only - not noob-smoke) actually said that now he has no masters,he was free to do what he liked and actually show everyone that he is a force to be reconed with ( some one posted this last week i think)
seraph - unfortunately i think subzero will only have 2 moves - it seemed like the game was finished but needs debugging.

So Sub lost two moves, the shoulder slide and the ice shaker? How lame.
Are you sure Noob-Smoke is the subboss? Like did you see the tower more than once? It's possible it's random and you just happened to have got him as the fight before Onaga by coincidence. Unless you played more than one one player game and he was always there?

They would have to be the sub-boss if they were in the lineup. Why? Because they're an unlockable character. And in MK, unlockable fighters don't show up on the battle plan until you unlock them. Unless they're important, like the sub-boss. wink

I don't really doubt it, just making sure.
It's true that previously unlockables didn't appear on the battle plan until they were unlocked, but things could have changed in MKD.
Speaking of that...besides Noob-Smoke being in the subboss position did you ever see any of the other unlockables, just as random opponents?

I think, if Sub Zero as only two special moves, they, at Midway, are deceiving us.
Didn't they said the characters will have their signature moves?
Where are the Sub Zero Ones?
I Hope Raiden will have back is Torpedo and Teleport move. But i have my doubts.

sorry if this has already been asked.
What are the Dragon Kings moves ? I've heard he has a super kick and a throw an maybe a fireball if so what dose it look like?
Also is he harder than Shao Khan or any of the past sub-boss charecters?

Wasn't each character supposed to have at least 5 special moves? Oh, and Baraka without his blade fury move sounds extremely lame.
Just two questions: Was there universal tracking in the version you played? Which fighting style out of the ones you've tried has been changed the most from Deadly Alliance?
Great job btw on answering the questions.

the only other opponents were the other selectable characters
Onaga's moves -
Fireball (shot out of his mouth)
Fire Breath (like a yoga flame or the ogre from tekken)
and a back dash which creats a gust of wind that makes the opponent lose their balance
the move where he lifts you high into the air seems to be his throw.
like any boss he's only difficult until you find out his pattern and weakness.

First I have to say is great stuff here man. Also when they said the game was 80% Complete for xbox is that they probably been saving that version for awhile the games probably done. Also I believe that there will be FMV endings just why the hell would they have them in there already. I remember hearing boon say its not gonna be the same for every game they want new and different things. They about flipped when the intro got out there not gonna show us FMV endings that will be a suprise for us to find out. Plus I saw the tower its like a rock cliff right I saw it in the Kabal Vs Dariou video from this site so I bet they'll have choose your destinity in the complete version or w/e difficulty you pick determines the tower. We'll have to wait about 30 more days to see though.
Plus I upset that I was right about noob-smoke being the sub boss. Plus I wish you would of never said how to beat DK thats extreme spoilers but o well I don;t care.

Wow. Interesting news Kano_Fan. I have some questions.
What are Kabal's fighting styles?
When Noob and Smoke switch, is it always from Noob to Smoke and then to Noob again or is there some kind of third style?
Are you sure Sub-Zero only has 2 moves? I mean, it's cool that he has the Freeze and Ice Clone, but it would kind of suck if he didn't have the Cold Shoulder and Ice Shaker as well.
Does Onaga have a fighting style or is he just like Moloch in the sense that there is no actual style?
What styles does Darrius have?

kabals fighting styles i cant remember, sorry - they were strange sounding.
noob - smoke switch = yeah straight from noob to smoke and then back again ( no third style)
sub zero's moves - i'm positive. I looked at his movelist. Baraka only has 2 moves aswell
darrius styles =
*something* ryu (karate , basically)
leopard
gauntlets (gloves, they had a blade on the top of them that looked similar to fulgore's from KI)
and if anyone can tell me what universal tracking is , i might be able to answer that question aswell

Ah, thanks for the info. I read the first page in Murdoink's character list thread and apparently, Darrius has Shinto Ryu. If I remember correctly, there are different Shinto Ryu styles. I believe that there is a Shinto Ryu style of Karate and a Shinto Ryu style of Ninjutsu. And also, in one of the books that I read, it mentioned a style called Shinto Ryu though they didn't seem to say that it was that of Karate or Ninjutsu so I assumed that it is Bujutsu. Anyway, the Gauntlet thing sounds cool.
As for Kabal, apparently, he has Sun Bin, Goju Ryu and Hookswords according to Murdoink's thread.
As for Noob-Smoke, I think it would've been cool (but at the same time complicated) if they had a weapon style....namely something like the Kusarigama
I'm a little disappointed with Sub-Zero since he doesn't have his Ice Shaker and Cold Shoulder.
