I didnt bother putting the hookswords down because i assumed everybody knew. oh, somebody asked about Onaga's style..........it was Dragon. It said so at the bottom of the screen . and NO HE DID NOT SWITCH STYLES |
Doesnt Sub Zero have a Dragon style? It cant be the same right?
| wolfeyes Wrote: Doesnt Sub Zero have a Dragon style? It cant be the same right? |
onaga's style being displayed onscreen is , I feel, some more MK humour. He doesn't really look like he's using any sort of style to me, but it's displayed as that.

Wtf??!
That's very weird...I really hope it isn't the same Dragon style as the one Sub-Zero uses. There are many different Dragon styles of Kung Fu and there's also the Dragon style of Kuk Sool Won....then again, I don't think they'd go to that much trouble to put in a different Dragon style...maybe it is Onaga's personalized Dragon style and is different from Sub-Zero's...

Repost of my Question:
Was there any word of Scorpion's Toasty fatality, or a second fatality for'em?

I would be very suprised if he had it.
The Midway representative confirmed that there are 2 fatalities for each character but didn't even know what a Hara-Kiri was.......

Go figure, Midway reps are idiots.

Maybe this is part of Subzero's heritage that he is finding out about.

Thanks for all the info Kano_Fan
I have questions for you:
You have faced Jade, Tanya, Li Mei, Kira, Liu Kang or Raiden? If it's thus, that you can say on them?
You have seen some bios? Or the Trading kard of Goro or Jax?
You have seen another Fatality, Hara-Kiri or Ending?
Thanks

Jade, Tanya, Li Mei, Kira, Liu Kang and Raiden were locked so,no, I didnt play as/against them.
Ive already posted Subzero's and Ashra's bios. I didnt see any others.
I did watch some of the trading kards in the Kontent section - they were the same sort of thing that IGN have been releasing. I didnt see anything noteworthy and decided to get back to playing the game instead.
No, I havn't seen another Fatality, Hara-Kiri or Ending - I was only at Gamestars Live for 1 day

Oh, also thanks... but I hope that when we buy the game, it isn't necessary to unlock the 12 hidden fighters to fight against them, only to fight with them.
One thing I completely forgot about until I was talking to my friends today.
It's only a minor detail and I don't now if its already known...
There is a designated button for picking up stage weapons - L2 on a PS2 pad
I know in the early stages of Deception's development,we assumed that you just scroll through your styles whilst standing next to it.
might aswell give you the whole layout while I'm here
face buttons = attack 1,2,3,4
L1 = style change
L2 = pick up stage weapon
R1 = block
R2 = throw

Just 2 questions from me:
1.When you beat Noob-Smoke are that both onscreen waiting to have the fatality done on both of them(presuming their last move was a move done in unison,hence both on screen when they lose)
2.When you beat the Dragon King,did it unlock anything in the game--new character,new mode etc?
Thanks.

1.The character who's style you were currently in stayed onscreen whilst the other one jumped or teleported off screen depending on who they were.
2.Kobra's ending was placed in a gallery for you to view whenever you want.Thats about all.
Throws that i remember....
Noob - Handstands on the opponents shoulders then comes out of the handstand so that the two characters are back to back (his hands are still on the opponents shoulders). As soon as his feet hit the ground, he throws the opponent over his head.
Ermac - throws his opponent into the air(about head height)then strikes them back down with 2 handed downward blow (he's holding his hands - if you can imagine what i'm trying to say)
Mileena - stands on your shoulders and then jumps up.As she lands back on you,you are forced to the floor.

Kano was it mentioned if you could unlock classic stages? You know, the ones from chess kombat such as Pit 1, Living Forest, Portal, Deadpool, ect, ect.

yes. when I played, the pit was already available in arcade mode ( I went to the 2nd day of Gamestars Live so I'm not sure if its there by default or if somebody unlocked it the day before) . I unlocked the portal stage within about five minutes of playing Konquest.
And as a side note, the portal stage and the one with the U/MK3 battle plan towers are in fact the same stage. The towers are directly opposite the portal.

Kano_Fan, great news posts, however as you've said the game isnt finished, so i highly doubt Midway would not include such great moves like Baraka's blade fury and another move for Sub-Zero. the moveslist in game shouldnt be taken as gospel until its officially released. i made a post about this on another thread, i doubt boon would give all the secrets away. its my opinion but i really think there are more moves for those characters, and a 'real' sub-boss. ppl only accept Noob-Smoke as a sub-boss atm because there is no visible alternative. im sure if it was a choice between say Kintaro and Noob-Smoke i know i'd be choosing Kintaro any day. i just dont think we've seen all the games cracked up to be.

just one more thing, lol, sorry to be bothering you like this...
1 - in konquest, can you describe us one or two missions you made?
2 - did you bought something in the krypt?
3 - in kobra's ending, is there a narrator like raiden in mkda? if so, who is it?
4 - did you deathtrapped noob / smoke? if so both died or just the one you pushed into the death trap?
thanks a lot for the 344343 time

That's kind what I was curious about too,doing Fatalities and stage fatalities on Noob Soke if you can get them both on screen at just the right time...then maybe possible...

I doubt it. I think it has to do with his freezing powers.
To Kano_Fan: cool info. I think that they shouldn't have a weapon pick up button though. It'd be better if it was like Down + block or forward + block. I think i'll definitely need to change the controls when I play the game because I like the block button the right side of the shoulder button area. btw, i like the throw descriptions. very cool stuff
