Shang Tsung from an article mentioning Shang Tsung’s island will be merging.

I doubt we'll see Noob, or Rain. I could be wrong but they already have two ninjas.. Kabal is a maybe, they could use more unique bad guys so he might make the cut.

MK 9 will probably be Mortal Kombat vs. The DC Universe 2.

if you ever suggest that again so help me God I will kill you where you stand...I'm sorry I'm kinda tired right now and the idea of a sequel before the next real MK kinda pisses me off more than a sequel after the next real MK. No hard feelings?

as for the confirmed names for MK... Kabal stands out, didn't expect such a thing. Altough his looks can be marked as iconic I guess... but overall, I don't believe anything for a 100% untill it's really confirmed.

The very first rumors about MK vs. DC months ago on the ign boards mentionned this game would feature characters from mk1-mk3. Since every other point of that rumor turned out to be real, there's a good change we'll be seing at least 1 MK3 charac.

Gamespot also mentionned in their preview that the roster had a few surprises.

Well if that's true.. then Kabal is likely a given as he's one of the most popular MK characters to come from THAT game in the series. I wonder who else from MK3 though? One of the cyberninja, no doubt. I don't see anyone else introduced in MK3 as being an "icon". So I'm basing that mainly on popularity. Perhaps Sindel too..but unlikely.

Highly doubtful. I'm not saying it's not possible for MKvs.DC2 to be any kind of possibility in the future, but one we have to see just how well MKvs.DC does, I think it'll do well personally but a sequel is jumping the gun a bit.

I also get the hint after Boon's interviews that MK9 will be MK alone again, then perhaps another crossover....or as someone else mentioned and Boon hinted at a little, have two seperate series. One crossover the other MK alone...
