Sub-Zero looks bad ass with his Shredder outfit. And Sub-Zero could kick Scorpion's ass. Sub-Zero's amulet gives him God-like powers. Scorpion just can't hang with Sub-Zero.

They didn't undo Scorpion's story, he knew that the new Sub-Zero was the younger Sub-Zero, but Quan Chi in MK4 said not only did Sub-Zero dismember your clan, but he killed your family, which I assume is his wife and child... was it mentioned that his wife and child were killed in the other MKs, no, so this might of been new news to scorpion so he went after the new Sub-Zero, because whatever vow he made to protect Sub-Zero meant nothing in the wake of his family being murdered. After defeating Sub-Zero he finds out Quan Chi killed his family...
I think expanding Scorpion's story about his emotions dealing with his family, he is after Quan Chi for manipulating him, lying to him, and killing his family. Whereever Quan is in MKdeception, I wonder what Scorpion's motivation is in MKD...

So the younger Sub-Zero hasn't beat Scorpion once in the confirmed storylines. The older one did, but to say the Younger one would win hands down probally isn't so... later

In MK4, he never mentions his own death. He only talks about avenging the death of his family and clan. The original Sub-Zero killed Scorpion; but he beleved the Lin Kuei clan killed his family. Now this makes much more sense to me than to say after almost ten years of believing it, Scorpion and Sub-Zero's MK2 endings never happened and Scorpion's MK3 bio was wrong.... Sub-Zero attempts an Ice attack of some sort, Scorpion avoids it, teleports behind him and quickly puts the Spear through the back of his head.

Scorpion and Subby didn't fight in MK2.

And now that Subby has the Dragon Amulet I believe that he would prove to be a formidable foe to Scorpion, leading it to a tie.

One vague sentence in Konquest isn't enough. As of now I see one little line vs. 10 years of continuity, three endings, a character bio, and it's just come to my attention that it's mentioned in the official MK2 comic which is canon.

In Scorpion's UMK3 ending he thwarts Shao Kahn due to the fact he vowed to protect Sub-Zero, being a chosen warrior. Scorpion would of had to have his MKII ending happen for his UMK3 ending to have mention of him protecting Sub-Zero. He knew that it was the younger Sub-Zero because h figured out it was a different Sub-Zero and thats why he protected him... he goes after Sub-Zero in MK4/Gold only because he thought that Sub-Zero kill his family and throws his vow to the side to take on his family's killer... So, Scorpion has to know that there are two Sub-Zeros, or there would of been no vow in UMK3, therefore his ending would of been completely different...
