Its been confirmed that the Medallian made him age this much

I thought it would have been, but i havent read anything about it myself yet. Its good to know that they're keeping on with the whole medalion storyline. Is everyone happy with Sub's new look? Its a bit of a drastic change, but I really like it!

i wish i could say i like it but i dont why is he so huge he doesnt look one bit like himself the only model that looks like the oringal is sindel.Baraka looks to cartoonish i just wish they would of kept the models the same size of the actors like in past games.

They mentioned that they wanted to make him look more chinese. Maybe that's why he has a yellow-ish skin tone.

I like his new look I just think it would look better if at least one of his outfits were blue. I don't really like that teal color on him.

Sub-zeros look in MK:D is his best to date old man or not

Remember Sub-Zero did have grey hair in MK:DA.

So this age is not THAT drastic.

With this story Sub-Zero won't be around for long.

He'll die of old age by MK8. oO

They are gonna have to pull the old eternal life story again with him.

Maybe he will become a god, that would work.

my theory with his medallion and whole deception story line..is that sub-zero is the only one who has the power to stop the dragon king..but falls short in beating him..when the dragon king strips the medallion from him he makes a big mistake..sub's youth gets restored yet the true power of the medallion gets locked within..but the aging was caused by the medallion itself..now that his youth is restored and the medallions power gets amplified since hes young again..he defeats the king. (made a long story short)

I like his new look

i like his new look. it really helps to visualy seperate him for scorpion, and i think alot of people have wanted that for a while. now sub and scorpion dont look like exact coppies. infact, they have done that will all the nijas. they use to all look the same, but now, sub, scorp, ermac, noob, and reptile all look different. i think this is for the best.

No, in my opinion they had to make reptile look different. I mean, look at Sub, Scorpion, Ermac and Noob, all of them are wearing masks, all of them are still ninjas, even if they dont look identical. If reptile wasnt made to look any different then it would be too samey still, and almost as bad as the palette swaps.

if he comes back in mkd or mk7 he should be in his mk2 form but with like a dark shadow that doesnt let u c his face.

There is no costume without a mask, his alternate he has a half mask.

I love his new look, and official or not he hasn't aged dramatically in my book. I just chalk up his white hair and what not to be side effects of the medallion. He may look "older", but he is not physically older. Boon having the medallion make him physically age is just retarded, and I refuse to accept it, official or not.

They could officially say that he was a gay transvestite, but I would just put it in the "silly Boon" category and ignore it.

In this day and age where long standing characters can be ruined overnight by mental midgets, just make up whatever "reasonable" fan-fic that you like. The base character is what's important. Everything else is just the creators trying to sell novels, comic books, games, etc.

This especially holds true in video games, and this especially holds true in Mortal Kombat. The game who's plot lines and character bio's are held together with scotch tape and bubble gum.

Don't be a slave to the coorporate pin heads or the "OMG CUZ ITS NOT OFFICIAL" kiddies, and think whatever you want about Sub. If your a die hard fan then he's as much your character as he is anyone elses.

I don't know. I mean, Sub-Zero is still my favorite character, but, honestly, he's aged about 30 years in a few months, and I just can't stand that. He looks old and sick, and all that armor I feel is just there to cover his weakening muscles. The whole Dragon Medallion might, sure, be turning him "colder" and paler, but... older? I first thought it was a fluke, but his hair is all but gone 'cept for that long white pony tail. They wanted to make him more "Chinese", but... why? I know to seperate him from Scorpion more, but, c'mon, we're not stupid. All they would have to do is do the color swap like in MK1-3, and I would be happy. I'm content with his design, but the character himself is just following a direction I don't approve of. But, for comparison:

And although this is just my conjecture, I don't think Subzero can die of old age as long as he's linked with the medallion. Also, I think he's getting stronger, actually. His hair color and facial complexion are really the only things that imply aging. It appears he's slowly becoming god-like. I don't think he's getting weaker. If anything, he's advancing.

I completely disagree and feel that it was simply bad character development and an unnecessary plot twist all together. ****Where was this said again? I would still like to see a quote from an official MK rep saying that the DM is making him older.**** In MK:D Sub looks great, but the medallion making him "older" doesn't add anything to the character. If anything, it bothers many long term fans that Boon would approve something, which in my opinion, is so completely asinine (If it is indeed official which I'm still not 100% sure that it is). His look should of course be altered due to the medallion, but he shouldn't be any older. As I stated above, I'm sure that the overwhelming majority of Sub-Zero fans would agree with me on this.

I agree. It's obvious that he's way more powerful then he's ever been, both physically and ability wise. Also, if you look at him in his MK:D renders, his facial complexion looks young and smooth (skin tone aside which just looks icy). It's his hair that looks grey/white.

Bottom line, even though the DM has taken a physical effect on good o'le Subie cakes (which looks great btw), he's still a young stud in my book.

Sorry Boon, but Sub-Zero > Scorpion, no matter how hard you try to sabotoge the icy bad boy in blue. Muahahaha!
