Hey i was just thinking perhaps Sub-Zero discovers his true heritage through Frost before she died or something, i also believe that perhaps the medallion was the key to discovering his heritage....what other way is there, what do you think?

I didn't know Frost died, I thought she was just overpowered by the medallion.

oh am just guessing she died since she hasnt been mentioned in the game so far i also think she died in her ending, I could be wrong.
The medallion froze in her hands. If I was as pissed as I think subby should have been I wouldn't wait for the bitch to thaw out. He prob. got the medallion along with her hands and then she would have blead to death. R.I.P Frost I love your thong baby *tear*

besides that I think that he goes on a quest givin to him by maybe raiden or by someone else important that made him less reliant on the dragon amulet because i dont see the dragon amulet on him anywhere. I always thought that sub left the amulet on frost or something but because they didnt say it in black and white there is no telling what happened.

I dont think Frist died, I justt think she was injured badly by the deadly alliance. In Sub's bio (seen in he article in OXM) it says that Frost is one of Sub Zero's allies so I'm thinking (not 100% positive lol) that she didnt die in her ending and that she didnt steal the amulet. We'll find out what Sub Zero's true heritage is when the game comes out or if Midway releases the info before the game comes out but I think that would be stupid on Midway's part. I think Midway should keep all the secrets secret and let the fans find the secrets for themselves. The only things Midway should be releasing are screen shots, renders of characters and the bios that will give us little hints about the characters. Great topic by the way.

What was cool(no pun intended) about Sub-Zero's and Frost's ending's was that they were linked together. I think that the Dragon Medalion has unlocked some forgotten memmories inside Sub-Zero. Forst might be a forgotten relative, which could explain how she can weild the same powers like Sub-Zero.

I think it's possible both endings might've happened.....

Lets just say that Sub Zero's ending occurred first, Sub gets thanked by Raiden, ect, and Frost is badly injured.....

so that means some time would have to pass until Frost regains her health....then tries to steal Sub Zero's amulet and get frozen.....to death?

I really don't think either ending happened, because that would imply that the deadly alliance was defeated. Although I don't think they won, I certainly don't think they're dead.

Even if they did happen, I don't think Frost would have died. I'm sure Subzero was carrying a recently-thawed-out-Frost in his ending. The only thing is that if they're to explain Subzero's power over ice, they kinda have to explain Frost's as well. That would be a bit too much of a coincidence.

I kinda wish Frost would knock out Sub and steal his amulet. Then maybe she would freeze over and die, thus leave the MK series for a game or two. I really thought she was stale.

I'd say that frost's ending happens first, then sub takes her to the temple, and in the opening sequence of D something happens to her (or maybe they explain in someone's story)
I think sub's true heritage comes from the Elder gods. That's why all the zero's are mythological (the first one battles Shinnok, the other battles all the threats scince MK2) And sub's is the one with the purest heritage, different from frost, who comes from mixture

Eh? By second sub, I assume you mean the younger Subzero, and he's been around since MKII. You do know he's the shredder-lookin guy in MKD, right?

So according to you, the current Sub-Zero is the 3rd
in the games? confusedconfusedconfused
You need to brush up on your MK history.

I'm glad so much importance is being based on Sub-Zero and the Medallion now, as long as he ends up with a big part in Deception like he deserves I'll be happy.

No-one else according to the bios have been named as the successor to champion of Earthrealm, even Shujinko, who many thought would be the new saviour has been on his own separate quest for the Elder gods, so the only people left I can see that can stop Sub-Zero taking a major role in the story are Zombie/spirit Liu Kang, which I really hope isn't the case, Nightwolf seems a good candidate, but would probably be more suited to Raiden's role than that of a champion.

Sub-Zero is becoming too heavily involved in the story. More things seemed to be centered around him than any other character.

However, finding out his heritage and the origin of his Kori powers is interesting. It'll be nice to see exactly where these origins are and exactly how he found the, The Dragon Medallion will most likely be the key.

I've always thought this.

Sub-Zero's family was probably from outworld. You know? That's his heritage.

My family is all from all over Europe. I'm a 3rd generation American. But my roots are in Europe.

Just the same, Sub-Zero is probably 5th generation Earthling, his family migrating from the Outworld.

I agree with tgrant. I think the Dragon Meadllion is the key to Subzero learning of his true heritage and the origins of his kori powers. Some how I think this will link Subzero to the Dragon King.

Oh no.....*shakes head in agony*

Where do I begin?

Sub-Zero and Frost are NOT related and they certainly AREN'T brother and sister. I have to agree with Temp about their endings not happening because that would imply that the Deadly Alliance were defeated. Trust me, they are NOT defeated.

Sub-Zero's family is NOT from Outworld. Sub-Zero is human, just like the other members of his family.

I think Sub-Zero will discover his true heritage through the Dragon Medallion. I have a feeling that the Medallion itself is the key to how the first Sub-Zero obtained his powers.

Btw, we can't be sure if all characters don't stay dead. Sheeva, Goro, Hsu Hao, Kintaro, Motaro and older Sub-Zero are all dead. Trust me.

maybe Sub Zeros earliest relative was one of the Dragon Kings most trusted warriors.when the Dragon King was defeated,he escaped to Earthrealm with the Dragon Medalion and had children with an Earth woman and Sub Zero finds someone or something stating this while in Outworld.

Why is it inconcieveable that the Lin Kuei are the decendants of outworld warriors, who fled to the Earth realm?

Surely it makes more sense than a normal mortal man being able to control the cold elements.

One good thing is, atleast judging by the profile, Sub-Zero hasn't turned evil YET.
