Regardless of how different it plays from your casual versus fighting games, it is still a fighting game, just with some different aspects.

I might be getting a Wii (not 100% confirmed) and if I do, I will definitely get this sometime after I get one. Melee was pretty deep for a fighting game, if you seen the tutorials then you will know there is plenty to learn in that game.

I don't think you should worry about being skilled at the game or not, they took out some glitches that were used in Melee's high level play, so it should be more friendly to casual gamers.

This game is looking like it well take way more ability on the mental side of things. Some of the set ups and mind games I'm seeing are MUCH MORE elaborate than in Melee.

Trust me, casuals will never be able to hang in any fighter. If people found a way to pull away in MKD and MKA, it can be done in any fighter.

i got you, i might be a week or two late on the games release. but count on it.

2 days ago i was watching all the glitches that were found so far in japan. from what i seen, maybe 2 or 3 of the things were bad, and are flat out banned: foxs infinite, falcos infinite, i dont remember the rest. but HAHA at the jigglypuff thing, that was absolutly retarded.

anyway my point of that was, after watching all those i was going to check out the roster, but i went to sleep. and forgot about it actually, been too busy ; /

so hook that up. i can already tell you ill be using kirby, thats it so far. but from what i seen in the game, it looks DEEP. i think everything you said to iori was so incredibly accurate, took the words right out of my mouth. ( someones pumped for smash! ) intelligence is going to play an important factor in this game. i dont know much about its past. i was able to hang with anyone i played. but by a limb. which is not bad for not ever owning the game.

Fighting? Isn't it more of a party game? Meaning different acitivities, games for four people to play vs each other. Yes you beat them up to get them out of your way to get the objective done but is that enough to call it a fighting game?

Yes, its a fighting game with 2D elements. The game mainly about fighting each other, therefore, its a fighting game. This game has what it needs to be a fighting game, like combo's, special moves, and mind games on your opponent.

There are plenty of 4 player fighting games out there, just goto Wikipedia and check that out. A party game and a fighting game are WAY different, party games revolve around mini games and fighting games...well... are about fighting.

Like I said before, it may be a little different from many fighting games, but it still has everything it needs to be one.

It's obvious you have no clue what you're talking about and probably never played the games. There is more depth in any of the 3 smash games than MKD and MKA combined. Of course it isn't a fighting game in the traditional sense, but a fighting game regardless. If you're a purist too narrow minded to try something different that's still incredibly fun and still requires ability(way more than MK), that's cool. On the other hand if you're interested there's plenty of videos and sites I can show you. Your old partner in crime ball-sac gonna be up on it holding it down for the west coast.

MKD and MKA both had alternative activities other than fighting, by the way.
