But intelligence also tells us that most MK fans all want something diffrent. And They bitch and cry when they don't get it. Damn, even when we do get what we want, like all 50-something MK characters in MK:A, we still whine. If I were Boon, I'd completly ignore you people.

I gotta say this is the first time I've ever seen a pic of superman and thought he looked badass. Still too powerful though... Anyways back to topic, it's a no brainer the DC lineup is going to be in their classic outfits. Otherwise non DC fanboys are going to be confused.

Wait a sec, we're getting a bit hasty with some of these conclusions. It is true that some characters have a bare simplicity to their names (Smoke), and some characters happen to be named after puns (Rain), but doesn't this just reflect an intrinsic sense of humor MK has always had? I don't think anyone has ever denied this element, nor has it ever gone away.
It's a shame that many of the people who agree with me have cardboard for brains, and unfortunately, with the prententious violence, MK will always have the bane of attracting a younger crowd. But that doesn't mean there is anything wrong the MK aesthetic. It's not really dark in atmosphere; it just incorporates dark concepts.
I don't even think some of these kids are stupid. They're just young and don't know how to articulate their ideas. So to clarify, my argument was never that MK and DC were incompatible, but that a crossover would not yield an authentic installment of the MK series. The MK storyline has a fictional essence independent of DC's, and and you can't combine them: you can only create a third essence which incorporates parts of the two: I'm siding with the former of the three.

I would agree that there's definitely issues of articulation and a total lack of perspective and reference amongst the under exposed MK fanbase.
A seventh ninja coloured purple and called Rain doesn't get a free ticket just because it's a joke about Prince... If bad characters and silly jokes were one end of the accepted spectrum then every person bitching about the DC characters wouldn't be falling back on their own misconceptions of what is "dark", what is "mature", and what the DC characters can and can't interact with.
The silly names, gaudy colourful costumes, and flimsy characterizations of the MK characters just emphasises that, like DC comics, the MK universe has plenty of blemishes. As much as comics have their embarassments in the fifties, the MK fanbase seems terminally attracted to the very worst of modern comics, making poor decisions based on XTREME!!!!! artwork, and braindead concepts. These are the traits that have arguably earnt MK it's heckled infamy in other circles, and are difficult not to dismiss.
For me, I do agree to some extent.
Perhaps what others haven't articulated is the inopportune timing of the game. It would be far more admirable to have a core MK title to resolve the past and establish the new mechanics with the strength of the series' own identity. The announcement of the VS game comes during a period I've been discussing the threat of homogenization in games, and as much as the introduction of DC COMICS into MK is potentially the biggest piece of that argument to fall into place.
On the same token, something a lot of fans aren't taking into account while bitching about the arrangement of red and blue, is that the MKvsDC quite clearly shows a strong connection to all the design tropes of a good MK game.
If anyone really is concerned about whether or not they'll get another MK game, I think they need only look at that trailer, and remember the strict division confirmed for the story mode. At least half of this game will undoubtedly have all the hallmarks of MK and their trademark creative direction.
A little less cartoon in the blood, and the loss of fatalities to more benign finishers, aren't the end of the MK universe. As much as I'm ready to feel negative about the game, it's hard to fault these key components, and this is what's exposed by a lot of retarded, repetitive, and self-indulgent bitching and moaning from the easily distracted MK audience who've managed to rate the tiny thrill of ripping someone's head off above an ENTIRE creative enterprise.
And that completely ignores the positives that could come from the DC characters, and how they can potentially emphasise everything everyone wants to see from MK.
But it's a lot easier to just call you all idiots and move on...

Just as long as we're free to call you a pompous, generalizing, myopic ass, and be just as free to move on, then we too, have no problem,
