Heh, I would love it if Tanya became the boss. About her look, it wouldn't need to change; she already has the look and personality that would make for a great boss. I mean, yea the whole psycho macho man boss thing is okay; but a cunning, heartless, intelligent, deceitful sexy female boss with immense power is sooo much more interesting. And it would be well-deserved for her, because we will have actually gottent to see her work for her power. Geez just talking about it is getting my hopes up, only for them to fall, because I don't think that it will happen. Still no one can deny that Tanya as a boss would be one bad@ss b!tch. Smart, sexy, and evil makes for best kind of boss.

In fact, I'll even go as far as to say that she would make a good boss for future games as well. While still not likely IMO, I really don't think that she should die. She's got serious potential to be very unique, and MKA could be a great foundation for a well-developed story for her.

Nice! i'm glad someone else is more open to the idea. You raise some great points too, dude.

I too don't think she should die, but I see her doing so this game due to all the hate she gets. I've expressed before that I don't believe the MK Team cares too much for her so they'll probably opt to kill her off. she could at least go out in boss glory!

Tanya as the boss? Hm, that would be cool, and unexpected; heck who would have ever thought of Noob Saibot and Smoke being mid-bosses, and Reptile being the final boss (even though he's just a vessel). As much as I doubt the idea, it'd be interesting to see in a future game, but not Armageddon.

Thanks for the reply, J! I don't see Tanya surviving this game, so unless this happens now, she may never be a boss.

I'm not sure if anyone remebbers me, or any of my previous posts for that matter, but I have also posted numerous threads on this forum discussing th eidea of a female boss

Think of all the female characters introduced so far. Tanya is the most likely, IMO, to become a female boss out of any of the female characters.

I posted something like this way back in the days before Deadly Alliance. It seems that it has fallen on deaf ears so far. But it does seem that the idea has begun to grow on some people. I remeber when I first posted this idea everyone HATED it! Everyone! Now it seems that it has become a relatively possible outcome of Deception according to all of the recent replies.

If you haven't already noticed...... I'm all for it! Tanya as the boss (or at least some kind of pivotal role).

This is an interesting theory T, but not one I like.

Im also a big fan of Tanya, and Im a bigger fan of the possibility of having a female boss, but that boss being Tanya just doesn’t feel right.

She doesn’t have what it takes to seem intimidating or that she even disserves the title. She just lacks certain elements that place her far on the list of characters who could end up being bosses...very far.

Still, good stuff. Good job with the thinking.

Okay, Tanya's really good at being bad... she's strong, she's hot, she's a traitor, she has no mercy or regrets, anyway, she's a complete freakin' bitch! But, she just doesn't have that much of appeal with the public to rise to Boss position. Simple as that... I also think she'll be one of the guys that will be killed off in MKA.

i think tanya is the best female in the game, shes evil, but ambitous, not just blindly followig orders. And i found her one of the funest and deadliest players in mkd, shed make a swell boss

i LOVE tanya but i don't see it happening, but on that note she is one of my favorite characters. why does everyone hate her so much. is it cause she was a kitana copy in mk4? now she's an original character with a kick ass look and story. it's in the past! there's no other female in the series like her. i hope she stays around because she has a lot of potential.

I like Tanya. I dont know why most of you guys hate her. I mean she's no Sindel or Sonya but at least she's not a crap character like Mokap. Shes good to me. But I do agree with most of you. Even though I like Tanya, I dont think she will be a boss and I think this is her last gamesad. Maybe they'll have the One Being in a physical form as a boss since this is Armaggedon.

Love this character but highly doubt she would be made a boss.

I can see her staying in the game though because she was named after Ed Boon's sister but that may just be wishful thinking.

It's a very interesting theory, i like it! it would be a surprise twist and it would be a change since she would be the first female boss in the series so far. Also, it would add a lot more to Tanya's story, and it might even gain her more fans, I'm totally up for the idea!

Ok, this is just my opinion, so here goes:

Interesting idea, but never thought much of Tanya as a prominent character. No pun intended, but personally I feel that she’s just a ‘space-filler’. What I mean here is, some characters are created and they have amazing on going stories that make MK interesting. This has been done successfully with mainly the cast from MK1, most from MK2, and a few from the rest of the MKs.

The rest I felt were just created to fill the character select screen. Who these are will however always be disputed, as there are those who will find these one-off characters ‘interesting’. But to each his own I guess. But then these characters don’t return again, and come back for ‘nostalgic’ purposes, and not for anything else.

But I too am guilty of liking one-off characters, but as far as this thread is concerned, it’s not Tanya.

Personally, I wouldn’t want to see Tanya as a boss. Maybe I’m biased, or even stereotypical, and I’m sorry for that. But I would be pretty disappointed if Tanya were to become the sub or final boss.

It’s like finding out that they made Hsu Hao a boss or something.

It’s like also a big slap to the face to characters like Shao Kahn, Onaga or even Shinnok, who far deserve the right to reclaim the boss throne.

I think it would be great having Tanya as boss. It would be the best thing to happen to the series. Because at the moment, the MK storyline is in desparate need of a little twist, something different and interesting to liven it up. It's too dried out and stale as it is.

Who cares if she is 'tiny'? Why do all MK bossess have to be run of the mill big, fat, bulky, dumb, dragonish, cheesy males? Tanya would be a great boss if done in the right way with the right effects. Female bosses have been done before, with Tekken Tag and 'Unknown'.

With Tanya's history in magic, and with the kamigodua-lala, her power could be unmatched. How about making her move her arena at will, slowing down and distorting time, hurling things at you, surrounded by a powerful aura making her look formidable and deranged?

It would be an opportunity for some creativeness, something a little different with more strategy that just kicking the hell out of some muscled monster. And also completing her story arc that so many people want. It would be the ultimate act of betrayal and no coming back for her.

i agree totally. all of the bosses have been male and large/stupid {with the exception of maybe a few.} but anyway a female boss would be great and something new to give mk a twist. Besides, i see a female boss as a good thing. if tanya were to be the boss then id imagine that she would be smaller and maybe deal less damage but she would be quicker and more cunning and maybe have more or better moves and that is sometimes better than pure brute strength alone. But im just looking forward to what midway does as far as gameplay and extras and the like i dont care who the boss is. Maybe they can have character specific ladders or choose your destiny. All im saying is that who the boss is going to be is the least of my worries about MKA. Hopefully this is a good game content wise to pull mk out of the gutter.

Since when is Shao Kahn dumb? He's more than just someone who uses brute force. He also happens to be a very cunning tactician. Also, the whole Deadly Alliance thing was great too.

I don't really have a problem with having a female boss. However, when it comes to Tanya, I don't think it's a good idea. Her overall story sucks. If her ending were to happen, it would be so fucking stupid, because it would make Raiden, Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi look really weak. Her ending was by far very unrealistic and should NEVER happen in the storyline.

To somnambulist: Since when does Tanya have a history in magic?

I think there might be a possibility that Tanya could be a sub-boss. Even though she would amazing as a boss, I honestly dont think that the MK Team would let her have it that way. :(

tanya does have a role in mka because without her and her searching onaga wouldnt have fused all the kamidogu together and then she steals it
so she does deserve to be a sub boss charecter eve though she is not in the sub boss section on the character selectconfusedconfusedconfusedconfusedconfusedconfused
