Straight Foward there is no survival mode. the guide has nothing on the survival mode.

yeah, it fuckign freezes for me on the fourth stage. On the load screen, it just stalls. I just went and grabbed a second brand new copy today- same shit.

are the floor textures missing in goros lair and the second stage against demon guards? i am so dissapointed.

Same here. I went and rented a copy, same. My cousin's stalled too. They didn't finish it for the XBox. And for that Ed Boon can such my ass.

Since we're on the subject of what works and what doesn't on different consoles: i'm reading in the forums that they're releasing the four different premium packs for the PS2..well WHAT ABOUT THE XBOX?! I bought the console for the sole purpose of playing MKD because to me it appears to have better graphics and a waaaaay faster loading time. So i'm happy about those things. My question is: Is Midway manufacturing these games dominantly for the PS2? I have yet to read anything about that being the case. If anyone knows, let's hear it.

It does in fact work,And u the order doesnt really matter,as long as u smack the ground were the barrels were with O or B (depends which system),But the mode is slow and laggy,due 2 it being unfinished,but........SWEET I FOUND IT (pats self on back)

i was reading some cheats somewere but i forgot then i sall a little fact that said survival mode.i know its int foundry and that u have 2 get that big weapen u make and hit some barrels but i cant remember the rest.ill try 2 look 4 it.

Alright, this is really getting frustrating! I can't get it to work! I've tried all of these various methods and none of them will work. The only thing that I can figure that I'm doing wrong is I have no idea what "lava" i'm supposed to fall in. I have NO idea what the heck the broken door room is. What are you guys talking about?!

i cant do it i cant get in to survival mode can someone tell me were do you have to jump in the lava from like spacifics pleaze i cant get in survival mode

In the foundry, while walking down a hall, enemies jump out of the wall and shoot fiery arrows and shit. on the left is an area that has a lake of lava, its the same place where you get Scorpion playable for VS. jump in it first, after grabbing the big ol' axe.

then g smash all the barrels with the power attack, still using the big ol' axe. then go to the top level on the left, near a wall and smash the ground. the last spot is hard to describe, so i lead you to here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=IWRu6bX8I0E

Has anyong successfully done this without previously unlocking the characters in Versus mode? I'm on 60%, and it doesn't seem to be working for me.

I might have to try the order of the barrels again, but... If that doesn't matter, it's not working for me.

EDIT: I ended up figuring it out myself -- it seems like my problem was the order of the barrels. Following the suggested pattern in page 2's bulk post seemed to do the trick.
I'm currently sitting on barely any health fighting clay soldiers and brothers of the shadow. Lots of fun, definitely worth checking out!

Anyways, I'm posting some tips for playing this with Kung Lao...

Level 1: Impale Baraka with the Axe. Beat up the rest of the lot. When Baraka dies, start using -alities.

Level 2: No bosses, but no need for -alities either. Go left, grab the Kama's and start having fun :)

Level 3: This is pie.

Level 4: Same as three, really. Get rid of the skeletons, and make sure Reptile ends up between the spikes. He's so dumb he won't come out. Hit him with the bones while he's between.

Level 5: Ah well, this shouldn't be too hard either. No real tactic here, rely on what your abilities. Orochi's are slow, so use that. Hat throws work like a charm.

Level 6: Jump up, press O, and use Fist of Ruin when a BoS emerges. Multalities work too, but most of the BoS stay under most of the time.

Level 7: Ugh, DA PAIN. Run away from the lot, evade Kano's cannon ball at all costs. Use Hat Throw from a safe distance. Keep Kano for last.

Level 8: Goro, and Kintaro. Projectiles galore. The jumpkick combo works fine too, but Goro has an uppercut, so watch out for that.

Level 9: I tried the entire afternoon for this one. Big trial-and-error here. Eventually I did it using the same tactic as in level 6. Just wait for an opening. I'd suggest this order: Reptile/Ermac/ Scorpion or Sub
Reptile has no defense at all (to my knowledge he can't even block), and Ermac is most dangerous. Pick Sub or Scorpion, whichever you think you've already damaged most.

If this worked you just beat Survival Mode lol

What I seriously don't understand is HOW people cannot access Survival Mode even though me and Goroliath explained it on pretty much every page of this thread and also }{ made a YouTube video for you to follow. I'm not going to explain it again. Just look through the thread and find out.

P.S Explaining what level has what wont get you any dragon points...it has been done...thanks anyway I guess...

i done everything like i was told get the axe and break the 6 barrels in the order given i try afew times now and no green image appears nothing happens at all why isnt it working

i will make this easy for you kind of an idiots guide enter the foundry run through the level n go to the room where the axe is grab it n leg it out b4 you get hit go back towards the save room b4 the archers jump you go into the room where the skorpion koin was jump in the lave then jump out run to the save statue then then down the corridor passed the goons o smash the barrel then run out and up the ramp to higher ground turn left and smash the barrel closes to the back wall then run to the little weapon room and smash the barrel at the back of that room then run to the bottom of the rock smasher corridor and smash that barrel then run back to the little weapon room and smash the last barrel there then finally back to the landing and smash the final barrel o smash the ground and if that dont work adjust your stance slightlf and keep o smashing you will find the right spot eventually i hit the ground probabily 20 time once
