well if you consider that it could be smoke he might not have his smokey aura in that pic because the pic may not be done. Im pretty sure that he would have his smoke around him in the finished version but as always stuff takes time to make and midway may have been rushed with those pics they gave IGN. also you never know midway messes with our minds alot of the time because it increases the interest in their product. if people dont know what they see then they want to know, that makes them come back to forums to find out then they get other questions from that visit etc. anyways i think that is smoke and that he doesnt really know what he is talkin about just like tgrant said

I don't mean to flame, but this thread is ridiculous. You did not talk to anyone at midway. You're just trying to start false news leads to satisfy some personal urge to exclude Smoke from the game. I'll bet my left nut that is not noob. Read some other threads, the Smoke votes are almost unanimous.

You're talking to the wrong people man. He's only the PRODUCT Mangager, he sees the distribution of all Midway games not just MK. You have to talk to the guys on the MK team themselves, they'll give you an answer.

I wouldn't say it's Noob, he is not clear. He's a shadow. I'm leaning towards Smoke.

I hope it isnt smoke, it probably is but i think it was a big let down and im disappointed with the character design. Hopefully his alt will be a cyborg or human..

I wouldn't talk like without knowing who [CH]Sub-Zero is. He is the webmaster of Mortal Kombat Schweiz. His site has reliable information and he has contacts in Midway. I doubt he will ever post false information.

It's Smoke. And yes, we are 100% certain. Sure to the bone. All the evidence points to the character being Smoke. But you know, you could throw all that evidence out the window, because it doesn't even matter. Inside sources have confirmed it's him. There is no way around that. That fact is hard as steel.

And asking a Midway product mananger if that is Noob or Smoke is like asking Zigfried and Roy how many species of tigers there are in Northern Africa.

I hate to be a broken record, but it isn't Noob. He has a seperate icon on the select screen from the character in the IGN pic.

Thats the thing I think its noob but it can't be unless its noobs primary because noob is thought to beside Ermac is it and the guy in the IGN pic is beside Kenshi that is if they didn't change that being that its a E3 model of the select screen. Even if ChSubzero get's info from his sources I doubt he'll be able to tell us or they won;t tell him or they will tell him but tell him not to tell anyone.

I believe it is Smoke as well. But even if it wasn't, it sure as hell isn't Noob, for the simple fact that you can't match up the body types. Smoke has a bigger build than the models of Noob so far, so either way it'll never be Noob.

i can understand if it is noob because of the brothers of the shadow symbol on his boot. and unless smoke is a new member of the brothers of the shadow then this can be classified as noob.

Look closer and compare. They are two completely different symbols. And unless Noob is made of Smoke, this character can be classified as Smoke.

How ignorant can you people be? Noob is not a ghost or a spirit or anything like that, he's a DEMON. He never has looked like anything remotely close to this new character, it isn't him! Since this character is more or less MADE OF SMOKE, do you think there could be a possibility that this character could be Smoke? I think so. Let's get over these ridiculous theories and just accept that the character is Smoke. As for the evidence, I'm kind of untrusting when it's a product manager and he uses the phrase "I believe" in his answer.
