We aren't sure if Tanya is evil? You must not follow the MK storyline that well. Her MKD trading card bio lists her alignment as "evil". She is clearly evil as she betrayed her home realm of Edenia to side with the forces of Shinnok and Quan Chi. Later on, she serves the Deadly Alliance, who wanted to take over Earthrealm and Outworld. Afterwards, she served Onaga, who wants to merge the realms and eventually cause the end of the realms. She's a treacherous, backstabbing bitch, not much different from Kano.

Tanya IS a coward. She would rather betray her own realm and kiss some evil schmo's ass instead of doing the right the thing. Like Kano, she does what it takes to survive. Her overall goal is of course to rule the realms.

The only thing Tanya and Scorpion have to do with each other is that they served Shinnok and Quan Chi in MK4. That's it. And no, they still don't have much in common.

If you have the right to make the baseless assumption that she is a spectre, then I have the right to assume that she's actually a bunch of gnomes stacked on top of each other, wearing a hot girl costume. That would at least make her story interesting.

So wait... Midway says she's evil. She's willing to betray her allies for ultimate power. She willingly assisted an exceedingly evil (and funnily hatted) elder god try to take over her realm. How much more proof do you need to tell that she's evil? Hell, all Shao Kahn wants to do is rule the realms, maybe he's not evil either.
And the reason why Quan Chi and Shang Tsung killed Liu Kang was because they were A-listers, IE, Evil Masterminds, and it wouldn't require us to be braindead to believe they could actually win. Tanya is a henchwoman with an opportunistic streak. That's two steps above "random anonymous flunky".

-Yellow outfit = peel.
-White eyes and white fireball = tasty fruit flesh.
-How she betrays her allies = equivalent to said allies slipping and falling as a result of stepping on a banana peel.
-Being sweet only when she wants to be = how a banana's really sweet when it's yellow with a few black spots, like her outfit.
