Did Ed Boon or any of the MK team mention a breaker system? I found it pretty useful in the MK games.

Thank god no more breakers, it sucked overall. Was useful at first more so in MKD due to long branch combos but not as useful in MKA....

With the 3'3's, AC's, & Infinite's that Kenshi, Jade, Havik, And others possessed. It's good they were.

Yeah that's true, but there's also this dumb glitch in the game with the breakers(not sure if this has happened to you) but against certain characters/certain moves like against Cage for example among others when you break the machine uses "2 breakers" at once...really sucks because that shouldn't happen.
I'm happy they're ditching them, good oldfashioned MK had no breakers. Once you were locked in someones combo, all you could do was hope it wasn't "too damaging" lol

I just hope they NEVER come back.
They need more of a breaker system that involves an rechargeable energy bar or something, limited breakers don't seem to work well against people who keep using infinites. It did work decently in Budokai 3, the teleporting part that is, Breakers in this one can work the same way but separate you and you opponent.

There needs to be a way to escape combos. Breakers, or something else, I'd rather have it than get my ass wasted by an infinite.

Fuck that halfassed breaker nonsense, I want REAL defensive options.
I don't mind a parry, just as long as they fix it up a little. So instead of being as easy as holding down the block and forward buttons, it can be a timely thing like they did in Street Fighter III. Keep the 3 parry limit thing, but make it so you have to time the buttons correctly in order to execute a parry. Something along the lines of a COMBO BREAKER is fine as well.

Not just MK, if you play SC4 apprentice way freaking broken with only 7-8 hits combos doing 90%+ lol
The breakers were in there to help with longer branch combos which were more useful in MKD then MK A overall, especially with no parries at all in MKD....
As for blocking mid combos, interesting idea but would make combos ultimately pointless if they did that.
