Actually, at Fight Night, it was revealed that the extra koffins are most likely a glitch, and the "12:43" and the whispers don't hold any extra meaning. Well, let me rephrase... they're not clues to secrets. According to rayrokka, 12:43 was simply at what time the artist who did the "Kenshi's Glass Eyes" image finished rendering it.

Hope this helps...

Plenty. If you believe that the portal stage holds special meanings, they talk all about it in a seperate thread. The info in the krypt says that first you must face your greatest adversary in this stage to pass. But the way to the portal is know by few and even fewer know how to use its power. Thats what info from the krypt says anyway. Then there is the part about destroying the portal sphere, no one knows much about this though. They sum it up much better than I can on this other thread, I don't have my game on so I cant copy what it says word for word.

Also, Bishop like I said. If this mystery source is reliable and this ray guy is so reliable as well, then why are there contridictions between the two. I mean, your source says the version code is it, and ray is still trying to give us clues. Stop the nonsense!

This final secret thing is driving me crazy. I hope we are not bashing our heads trying to figure out that the big final secret is actualy nothing.

I have to say i like the idea revolving around the portal, but i also think maybe your reading too much into what is basically background story!
Technically beating your nemesis earns you access to outworld and little else as far as i'm aware!
i believe it says in konquest who everybodys nemesis is, might be worth restarting a new profile jsut so you can work out who is supposed to fight who, i am vaguely aware that Quan Chi's worst enemy was himself, but some people weren't mirror matchs, Kenshi's MUST have been Shang Tsung! I'll give it a go!

As far as the head thing goes, i believe the code is to have them ALWAYS facing the opponents face, that's why when your enemy jumps in the air you look up and when they're dead on the floor you often look down, i expect sometimes when they're dead the computer forgets where your supposed to be facing so it just ends up looking upwards!
Just a thought!
Has anyone tried to fight a mirror match at the portal stage, let's say on arcade mode?
I already tried that out. I fought a mirror match on arcade mode in the portal stage (Kenshi vs. Kenshi on medium). I won both rounds with flawless victory and did his fatality in the end of the match, but nothing happened.
Maybe you'll have to win the match by just using one button (like in MK2).

I also had another clue last night: Some rumour said Drahmin leads you to the final secret. One difference between Drahmin and the other characters is, that you can play test your might over and over again in the arcade mode, when you cancel his test your might konquest mission. Maybe you'll have to play test your might with Drahmin over and over again to unlock something.

Hinkebein, isn't it impossible to do Kenshi's fatality on Kenshi? I think it is....

It is possible to do Kenshi's fatality on Kenshi. His eyes just don't pop out, because he has none.

Nobody answered my threat, so I'm going to post this here again:

Maybe we should just forget about looking for a secret in the portal stage. Remember the thing about the drum arena and that one big guy you were supposed to fight after a tie? I mean, maybe they wanted to put some secret into the portal stage, but they didn't have enough time for it. Just like in the drum arena. So we're all searching for something, that was supposed to be there (and still left hints to find it), but wasn't finished.

to be honest, im starting to lose faith in "finalsecretism" myself, they WILL eventually tell us if there is one though,(but it would be cool for us to figure it out b4 them tellin us!).
and idea my friend had is in the next game, there is going to be a secret telling you what the secret was in this one...(stupid idea i know, but could work)

Personally, I feel that leaving statements in the game and then telling us that it's there just for fun is bad PR. Like the drummer thing, and the acid bath and lung hai temple stage fatality possibilities. It's just not right. But hey! They made the game, so I guess they could do anything they wanted right?
By the way, has anyone ever e-mailed Midway? If you have, you almost always get a reply from their rep, Ms Claire Moore. Anyway, have written to her about 3 times (once begging Midway for an MKDA remake, once asking why Shang Tsung couldn't morph in the console versions, and once concerning the swamplands).
I e-mailed them a 4th time, and though my request may have seemed a little ridiculous, I said something like "since the stage fatalities never made it to the game, how about providing a rough step-by-step description of them", or something along those lines. I mean, what was it going to hurt? And you know what? I never got a reply! Do you thing this could mean something? I mean, we get pictures and videos of stuff that never made it to the game (like the cave arena and the swamplands (for the consoles) and the blade arena), but why not an explanation of how the stage fatals would have turned out?
Anyway, I still stick to my stubborn belief that the final secret is that right hallway, which is locking up tons of other stuff, including maybe the option to turn on ties, and perhaps allow you to do something about that darn portal sphere in that portal stage!

Oh and one other thing! At fight night, Tony Goskie, or one of the programmers, said that the "tie" option was initially intended to be in the game, but was removed. Then he continued to say "unless somebody put in in there secretly", or something like that.
Another programmer replied this message, saying "we would never do that : )". The smiley face " : )".......................its gotta mean something! I think that smiley face was a giveaway that the tie option is in the game!
