We know MKDA wasn't "properly" finished. Stage fatalities weren't in; neither were some characters; and even some Kombos were listed but unusable (yes, I'm looking at you, Blaze)!
So, has history repeated itself? IF everything has been unlocked by the hardcore players/hackers, what have we found?
Unusable/unfinished models: several MKDA fighters are present in the code and can be used via hacked Xboxs. True, these could only have been intended for Konquest. But we also have ALOT of puzzle fighters, including Onaga! That's just plain unforgivable. Is it a sign they ran out of time again, or did they get them done then lock them away so the GameCube version would have it's extras??
Third costumes: we've heard the original intent was to have three costumes. Did they do Scorpion's and Liu Kang's, then bottle it in favour of something else?
So, what do you think? A lot of this strikes me almost as deliberate covering-up of things, probably for the GC; although it could be they just didn't have time to fully finish these bits. It's sloppy at the verey least to leave things in that have no purpose (ninja star according to the now-infamous Fight Night). Why is this happening?
*one note. It's really not advisable to boast that 90% of your time was spent on content, Mr Boon. It comes across even worse when a game looks unfinished due to the amount of stuff left lying around in the coding...

Hmmm...good points. First of all, I highly doubt they saved a lot of stuff for the GC version. I bet they intended on having three costumes, but didn't have time to design them. I also believe the team purposely put a random bunch of puzzle fighters to focus on more important aspects of the game. The only thing I really wished that was put in was the ice stage and a classic costume for Sub, but oh well, I still love the game.

I'm thinking that either it was done on purpose to save stuff for the GC or they just didn't finish the game all the way.
I'm guessing it's the first one.

Perfectly said, i couldn't agree more, but I still love it. More than the uber-unfinished Deadly Alliance. Why? Gameplay. Especially enviromental consequences and a quicker engine that is more balanced defensively.

Johnny Cage is supposed to be in ( watch Bo' Rai Cho's bio video. he farts off the ground and lands on Johnny in the falling hills)
