Nah, that probably just peeve off Kahn's fans again. The DA already had an openning "killing" Kahn and the main response it got was people demanding the emperor's return. The Dragon King will need to gather some serious populality points if he hopes to slay Kahn in the minds of his fans. Seeing as both DA members are quite popular themselves the DK has alot of work to do.

I have a feeling we will see this ultimate confrontation between Kahn and the DK. The DK has to do one hell of an act or make one hell of a fuckin impression to win me and my vote over. No one touches Kahn in my eyes as supreme boss.

the dragon king already has a following and he's only an "on paper" character. the question is whether or not he'll live up to the hype i guess. so i agree. if he's to take down kahn, he needs to live up to the hype so fans can look forward to a battle between the two and so they won't be dissapointed kahn gets slayed. meaning he needs to be the biggest badass ever because kahn holds that throne and he hasn't been knocked off yet. they tried in mkda but the fans weren't having it.

We don't know anything of the Dragon King's strength. Plus, let's not forget about his undefeatable army, so he wasn't some chump ruler. I don't think he was ever beaten either, wasn't something said in DA that some monks trapped him in the egg and made Blaze its Guardian? About his connections, well most of the people he probably knew during his time are dead most likely, but that doesn't leave out the ressurection angle. DK sounds badass and if it's done right he will be and could be one of the most difficult bosses in a game EVER!!!

That's what we need. A sub boss who's difficult and an end boss who's HARDER.

I only posted in it because there was a link to it in one of the stickies.

Besides, it's a worthwhile discussion and I hardly posted just to make myself feel good.

Are we all forgetting something here? How did the Dragon King die and his "unbeatable army" cease to exist? Here is my opinion...........

-Near the end, Shao Kahn was a mysterious figure who then was a normal man seeking the ultimate power. Kahn used what he learned from the DK and lead an attack and killed the DK and putting an end to the unbeatable army. Sounds weird but could be a possibility.

We don't know much about the Dragon King or what he looks like. We don't know if he's gonna take a human form and then when you fight him he reveals his true self. What about his army? Shao Kahn was very popular and the most successful of them all and even won the second tournament. He wouldn't allow Sindel's soul to pass. He's killed thousands upon thousands of people and even went toe to toe with a God. His helment was totally bad ass and his gear even though it looked like something from a S&M movie was quite enough.

Kahn is the evil of all evil and the Dragon King has to prove himself and needs not to be killed off and stick around. If they DK is killed, who after that is gonna be the next "BAD GUY"?

We do know what he looks like, though.

Like I said, I think he has the potential to match Kahn in badass-ness.

It was never stated as of yet that the DK was a conquerer of realms, as of now, he is only known as the ruler of Outworld alone. Kahn has taken over many realms, slaughtered and enslaved its inhabitants, and has grown god-like in the process... let us not forget Zaterra as well. These are only some of the known realms hes conquered, what about all the portals throughout the MKT levels in Outworld? Surely Kahn had his hand in that...

Let's see, if DK had an undefeatable army, I think we can assume he liked conquering. Maybe he won't outdo Kahn, but he will come close. Looking at the end pic of him, He is huge, so I assume he will be tough to beat.

This little pansy called the Dragon King won't be able to hold a candle to Khan let alone be stronger, tougher, and more popular. This is what I want to happen...DK wins MK:D, along comes MK:7...DK gets over confident...out of the blue comes Shao Kahn with power 1000 times greater than when he first was introduced(MK2)...rapes the shit out of this pansy DK...re claims his throne...Kills everything in existance....Rules everything in existance for all of eternity...

first of all DK owns khan. he was born and died before shao khan even was emperor.

he can smash khan with one hit. he is unbeatable and can kick lui kangs ass, unlike kyhan could in mk2. weak ass.


also DK was never defeated. khan got his ass kicked about 3 times already.

Dk died of old age, so the army agreed to mummify themselfs to he comes back.

khan wasnt even emporer at that time. because DK armys gave someone else a chance by mummfying themselfs they gave khan a chance to step the throne till DK comes back.

I like khan in mk2, but in mk3 he sucked ass, his look was a lil different and not scary, and in mk3 he was the easyiest boss ever in MK history.

How the hell do you know all this when there has been absolutly no information given on the DK as of yet? Your basing all your "facts" on opinions and assumptions... the DK aint God. And he didnt die by old age, his death is yet to be revealed as is basically all information pertaining to him. It only says he died prematurely. He could have choked on a piece of pork for all he know. He was in search for immortality before he died, something Kahn already has. This is what information has on Outworld, as it was a single realm before Kahns rule. Outworld - A realm once ruled by the Dragon King, whose army was the most powerful that realm had ever seen.
