The only reason I ruled out Sareena a long time ago is becuase she has short hair with a streak of white in it. While it could be changed, I doubt they would change it that drastically. But still, we wont know for sure until we hear it from the horses mouth.

I dont know, but I cetainly hope it's better than her DA one. I think it will improve. Anything's gotta be an improvement over the last one.

Well, seeing as we've all heard about the new graphic abilities they now have with severed limbs and what not, I'm sure they could do something cool.

Take her DA fatality for example, I think the reason why everyone thought the fatality was stupid was because her foot magically made her opponent's head explode. It would be much more visceral and brutal if the head were to have been knocked clean off her foe's shoulders and bounce along the ground a couple of times.

early sources from ppl on this forum have led us to believe that li mei is in fact playable in this game. however, more recent info from other ppl with obviously other sources have confirmed that she is not in the game, which makes me believe that both sets of information are correct.

in early builds and concepts of the game li mei would most probably be in the lineup, but due to whatever reasons (perhaps negative fan reactions) maybe she was changed to another female fighter - ie Sareena or tanya. therefore her model would be changed from a li mei look to be a sareena/tanya look.
remember sub zeros scar could be simply added later. what if this is just an early screen shot and a white lock of hair + tattoos to be added later for the character to become sareena.

i know this is a long shot but i think it proves that we cant just simply shut the case and difinatively say that its li mei.

That could be it exactly. Anything can change at any time. It could end up being Sareena...IMO that would be much cooler. But as it stands, that is Li Mei.

I think Li Mei's three costumes will probably be the light pink one with what looked like a bandana (as seen in PSM), the second one will probably be this outfit (that hat looks very cute on her by the way), and the third may be what she's wearing on that chessboard (if that's her).

I like that hat she's wearing, I don't know why lol.

Seems like thats most likely Li Mei. IMO that outfit looks the best so far on her.

And each character having 3 different outfits is awesome. They MK team must be very creative.

Li Mei is alive and she's in the game...and no person with "internal source" has said that she's not this in the game (those that said it have so many contacts as hairs the head of Quan Chi )

I'd like to point out, however, that skin color isn't exactly the best thing to rule out characters with (at least, not for me). i'm still wondering what kind of magical smack they were smoking when they decided to give Noob Saibot an alternate costume with human skin. Grim reaper robe, alien, fine. Human? Nah, that's just weird.

Don't get me wrong. I think it's Li Mei, too. But it could always turn out to be Tanya. The MK guys are weird like that.
