There are three rules for doing scientific research. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.

He just didn't have time between UMK3 and MKT to go back to the tanning salon...they don't last forever you know! lol

While I don't personally believe it's the case, we can't rule out the possibility of it being Kira in an alternate outfit.

Also, I wouldn't base any assumptions on who's who on whatever fighting styles they're using, as that is subject to change at any given moment.

If you r talking bout Li Mei's Fatality, From the gamcube version, her foot went into the other opponents torso, the brought out blood as it exited, and the opponent fell to his/her knee's then she kicked his/her head off tongue

I hope it's li mei and I hope she's in. 'Cause I loved her special moves, the cartwheel stuff where fun :). Maybe her story is lame, but that can be made better. All people that dislike her have to let go of the mileena-clone idea...

Great thread, bro!

And I too believe it to be Li Mei. I love the colour of the outfit mainly. And the stance basically screams Li Mei to anyone looking at the pic.

Thanks, bro. I took me almost half an hour to write out the post, but now I'm glad I did it.

But in reguards to the thread, I'm really surprised that none of the anti-Li Mei users are posting. I could swear the people who believed Li Mei to be in the game were the minority. What happened all those people who were aggressively set on the idea that she wasn't in the game, and that all who thought she was were gullible? Have they changed their minds, or do they just not know how to back up their argument anymore?

Yea man, its cool you took all the time to do this. And yea, Im surprised this thread has remained so calm. Maybe the Li Mei haters are atarting to realize the truth and dont want to look like idiots anymore. grin

On the other hand, this makes it more possible that Kitana's an unlockable. I mean, you beat the game, rescue the Princess (perhaps as Sindel, since it seems to tie in with her story)... shouldn't she be opened up as a playable? Why have Kitana feature so heavily in the storyline - even her presence in the game, since you're trying to rescue her - without actually being able to ever control her later as a secret character? Would probably fudge the storyline, but Boon's creative - it's not a big deal, once you've beaten the game.

True. But think that the reason Kitana wont be in the game is to leave a spot for other characters that diserve the chance.

You can save her and she will be involved as playable in MK7, but not in this game.

Li Mei's story was one of the most moronic and ridiculous stories I've ever seen, and she dies at the end. How could you possibly explain her soul being extracted from a Dragon King army soldier when the Dragon King is still alive? There's nothing to refute the fact that the soul was extracted from her body and into a Dragon King warrior. Most Mortal Kombat fighters are able to deceive and are pretty paranoid. Yes, it's been said before, but she is guillible and doesn't quite fit into the MK enviorment. She's a filler, and always will be. I don't truthfully understand why people like her so much. Her fighting styles sucked, stole Mileena's sai while making the sai style crappy as hell, and her story aspect was ridiculously idiodic. She might not be a Mileena clone, but she's a pretty crappy character.

There's a couple things to refute her ending.

One, being that it would've only happened had she won, which is fairly unlikely. Two, it would've only happened had the Deadly Alliance triumphed in the end, which is also fairly unlikely.

If she's in the game, good for her. It'll show the people who haven't given her a chance that she's not actually a Mileena clone...at all. And if she isn't in the game, I won't lose much sleep over it. She's a decent new character and could use some more storyline development.

If you think about it, those are proven false by past precedents. Take Scorpion for instance. He didn't win MK1, but his ending came true didn't it? He killed the older Subby. The other thing was that the Deadly Alliance triumphed...not necessarily true. Remember that it was when she won the tournament set up by Shang Tsung and Quan Chi that she was killed and put into an undead warrior. It might have said that after the Deadly Alliance had won, but they can and probably will omit that in the next game.

I hope so anyway. The only problem I have with Li Mei in the game is that she took up the space for Kitana. Otherwise I don't care because even if she's a crappy character that'll just mean that I won't ever play as her.

NOT ALL ENDINGS HAPPEN!!!!!!!!

Sometimes only part of them!!!!!! She could be alive and is!

She is back, and she rocks.

NOT ALL ENDINGS ARE TRUE!

Erm...thanks for the wonderful insight. Besides, I've addressed that already. I know not all endings happen, but part of her ending makes sense, and just like you said, some parts of some endings happen. You basically fortified my arguments thanks. ;)

You might consider her styles crap, but I sure kicked butt with her :s
I agree that her sai style was a bit lame with no combo's, but it still was good, since the opponent didn't know whether she was going to do the low sweep or a frontal attack. And you need to be a very good player to be constantly on your guard and not get beaten by that.
