I'm not entering, but...I'd like to point out that the tournament will be somewhat..restricted. Players are left with four days to unlock their character if it is not a default selectable. And word has it that certain characters are only unlocked after extensive play, such as Liu Kang and Raiden. 4 or so days might not be enough.

well..i'll have to see.
If i get my game in time, i pre-ordererd it off electronique boutiques, and usually i get my games some days later..or sometimes a week!
So..it'll depend if I get it in time.

Well, if it's going to be on October 5th, then i'm not joining. I have school, then I come home and then I go get it at 4, get home by 5. I have to get to bed early because I have shit to do in the morning, so I will only get to play the game the first day for a few hours. Then you have to add in eating dinner, doing homework, and other stuff.
So I can't be in this tournament, sorry. Maybe the next one

The actual tournament is on the 9th of October. The deadline for signups is the 5th.

As I stated in my first post, this is a beginner's tournament. Beginners, as in a "beginning of the game's lifespan" tournament. I would like everyone to compete with only the default characters, but if they manage to unlock someone on the 5th, and manage to inform me of a change of character before 12:00 AM EST on the 6th, I will change it.

will there be other tournaments in the future? if so how often? like every week? will there also be puzzle and chess kombat tournaments?

I'm down, though I'll have to change my character selection.
I too would like to know with what sort of frequency tournaments will be held.

If there is still enough interest in the game, then probably every 2 months.
As for Puzzle Kombat and Chess Kombat, I will have to play the game and find out certain things (Example: In-game options) before I think about making a tournament out of those games.
