Maverick...That has to be some of the worst lag i have had to deal with in the past month.

Wiffed hits right and left. Bo stick was going through you like 50-60% of the time...I got REALLY frustrated after my 2b3 didn't finish with sareena. and you won with a wake up so i just turned off my box.

I felt like my screen flipped 2 times at least every round and you were invincible during jumps. You would jump out of a role as soon as you started rolling...not even easy is that invincible in the air. I didn't pick my best guys from the start( like i should have ...IDIOT)i didn't get to show you dai, kung, or motaro. I was just having fun at first...lol(fun losing)

Then you got ahead and i started pulling out my good ones.

Despite the lag,we had some pretty close games in there and some not so close ones.

We should play more and focus on a long series instead of trying to beat each other to 10.

MeSoFly - If you are getting screwed out of hits/counters.......Dont bother to counter. Wait it out/ circle/ back dash or block. Doesnt make sense to try and counter unless you are just as safe. You will only get screwed. Sometimes I dont even bother countering a missed parry. It works!!! I learned it from using Shujinko as of late. He will always whiff mids/teleslam/first two hits of his dail even when they cant block or guess wrong. So I dont counter anymore and try to get lucky from a distance. Then I unload 60% combos ending in a 50/50...50/50 in this case meaning I have a 50% chance of whiffing the mid as I watch my opponent jump away after ducking.

........Oh yeah, you will lose anyway, but at least you wont be as fustrated.

I mean damn, I base my entire offense around his air combat and would like to be able to take advantage it. So to see you easily pull off his A/C into high damage is kinda lame. Feel me? I have to cut my attacks short and forfeit 20-30% damage because I know it wont land. That shit aint cool.

i hate the disconnects though.

atari, I've been babysitting all day, leaving the game on open to challenges whenever i can take them. why don't you come back on and try ac's against me again. you've done them before (bunch of times actually, sindel's ac comes to mind- you were quite consistent).

anyway, what i'd like you to try is something i've mentioned a few times before- deep air cancels. in other words, after a launch (when possible), jump up after your opponent but don't attack on your way up or at the peak of the jump. start your air combo after the peak of the jump, right before you would normally pull off a 3,3. after, say, with mavado, you hit 113 deep into a jump, it'll bounce you away and back, but continue to hit the guy after the peak of the bounce (same position as before basically)- hit 1134L, mash B and you'll notice that you only have a small distance to hit the ground (vs performing all of this at the peak of jumps) whereafter you can continue your combo in the air or into dial.

when i started doing them like this, it made a world of difference, even with unfavorable connections (eg me + groy- before i couldn't land any air stuff)

Easy - that's my point. My timing offline is perfect to do any a/c I want to. And your right, the later you do them the faster you land.

The problem is vs. most people it is impossible for me to land a "deep" a/c. Trust me. Offline, I can do anything. Online, my opponent will drop down and block during the combo or I will miss them completely and eat a wake up.


So when I play you, I have to go for A/C combos at the peak of the launch or else I wont connect.... but Sindel, Sonya and others A/C (3,3,2,CS) works no matter how high you are. I was able to pull off 1,1,2,CS with Darius, Baraka once because again, the height doesnt matter that much....

Some "deep" A/C's I use is 1,1 with Kai and Smoke for example. I also use 3,1 with certian characters (Jinko, Nightwolf) for a drop down 50/50. I use 3,1 because my opponet lands on his feet, not allowing him to perform a wake up attack. Try it OFFLINE and you will see.


But 1,1,3,CS,4,4,4 will not work vs. you but works fine vs. others connections.

Like I said before, I can do everything vs Red connection. Its like practice mode when we play. I wish I could play like that vs more people.
