More Kharacters- at least 15 per side

Story/Chapter for all the Kharacters involved in the game

Should have a storyline even for the arcade mode- (I pick Kano and it goes to the classic MK Ladder of opponents. And before each match there is a little trailer/movie as the opponents exchange words)

Krypt- plenty of renders, High Res pictures, Alt. Costumes, Video Biographies, etc

Endings with cinematics or at least more than one picture (although the pictures were incredible)

A better way of a defeated boss, instead of another exploding boss(should have cut to a cinematic scene where Dark Kahn splits back into the seperate character and then if it were an MK kaharacter to fight Shao Kahn again and vis versa if it were a DC Character)
I like how you don't have to do the quarter circle commands to make special moves come out.

Like instead of D,F+3 you can just tap DF+3.

Makes chaining and the just frame moves easier to perform. I know this is nothing new to MK games, I just like it.

Yo bLeed, (I ask you, cuz I like how you think) give an example of MK game that is fully 2d gameplay, but has 3d elements like sidestep. What I'm asking you is to give general ideas of how that kind of MK game would look and play and it will be different from other fighters.

This is where those of you who have played the game can tell us what you'd do to improve it.

I'd add Mileena, Nitara, and Harley Quinn.

I'd take out Lex Luthor and Kitana, because they're just boring.

I'd also add a feature that allows you to create your own arenas by "merging" two other arenas, one from MK and one from DC. I'd call it Realm Merger.

I'd purge the game of the robotic fighting animations from the
last gen consoles and concentrate on creating and introducing
an MK game with a more realistic, smooth, & fluid fighting game
experience that would rival Tekken & Soul Caliber.

I'd have chosen more interesting DC characters besides the cliche
norm that made into this game. For me, Catwoman was not done
proper characterization justice. She is not a villain, a criminal yes,
but she has never been evil. I feel the DC side lacked a proper
female villain. I'd have included Poison Ivy to the roster, because
her special moves and fatality would be visually spectacular.

Added more content most definitely. None of the useless stuff we
would never use. I'd have included a vast number of unlockables
that would add to the players in game experience. 2 Alternate
costumes for each character, more arenas, and more characters
that would be unlocked by beating Arcade mode with a certain
character. (for example - Win with Kitana, awarded Mileena)

Oh and last but not least ... given Kitana a decent story mode and
portrayed her the way she is suppose to be represented.

Now had the game had any of these, I'd be happy. But it doesn't.
And my expectations for decent DLC are really low at this point.

The side step from King of Fighters would do the trick.

The difference would be more based on everything else. How the 2D combat is designed.

Most of what you see in 3D fighters can be done in 2D games. Moves from different states, wake up moves...

Side rolling on the floor and stuff like that would have to be altered. Something like Leaning to the side to get up, instead of a roll. You get pretty much the same effect but it works in a 2D setting.

The wall game would require sliding back when attacking or a position switch that works like a parry or reversal. Allowing air block if you are thrown in to the wall, so you don't get stuck in wall juggles.

I've been playing around with Mugen to get more of a 3D fighter feel. Giving Kung Lao a bunch of moves, 3D style juggles, an Evade like in King of Fighters, etc.

See it here

Could have been more character cameos if you ask me. Boon hinted
at there being some cameos, but I fail to see them, besides that of
Quan Chi. Who actually was involved in Story mode a lot to be an
unplayable character. Which is kind of stupid.

I have been working and haven't been able to play much but for the most part I like the game. However there is a lot of room for improvement.

1. I would like to speed up the gameplay a little more. I always liked the run button, you could be 2 steps away from your opponent and then run up into their face with a combo. It certainly made for fast aggressive matches, especially mk4.

2.The jumping is much better but it still feels a little off to me. I don't think it is as easy to jump in deep and juggle with a spear or a freeze for instance. Improve that some.

3. On the bonus disc, the design team stated that the backgrounds were very layered and packed with detail, no offense to the design team, but the levels feel a little empty to me at present. I think mkd levels were much better.

4. The character's move sets feel a little underdeveloped. Some of that might be from playing the last 3 games however.

5. Klose Kombat is fun, but it does seem to lack a lot of variety. That could have been alleviated if certain characters had special movesets in that mode. Kitana could use her fans in that mode perhaps instead of punches and kicks.

6. The game has 22 fighters which is a lot however since the roster is split into sides of 11 each, it feels more shallow than it actually is. I think an additional 4 characters, 2 per side might help that.

7. I like the directional throw, that is a very nice addition to the game, but that is no substitute for actual throws. 22 charcters and they all lack an individual throw, was that a mistake? Import the throws from the previous games, I would be happy with that.

8. A lack of modes. I love that you can customize arcade mode by picking to fight team specific sides or a mixed variety. That was an inspired move as simple as it is.
Seriously though, why hasn't mk included a create your own tournament feature yet? Mk 4 had something like that on the home versions. That would be great. You pick your fighters and set up brackets, set up the defending champion of the tournament (it could even be you), pick a sub-boss and go at it.
You choose to be the mk champion of your own tournament or fight your way through your own Kontest to challenge a mk champion you chose.
That is a nice alternative to online play and arcade mode if you don't like those features.

That is all I can think of now, plus I have to go to bed. Gotta pull a 12hr shift tonight. Good night guys.
