The opening lines of the early MK Deception trailer now makes much more sense! SPOILER

Now that we know what Hotaru's bio is, him thinking Onaga can restore peace to Outworld(which we know is a load of crap), now those opening lines make sense!

I think Onaga is using Hotaru(along with some other people, but mainly Hotaru) to kill the Defenders of the Realm(well that should be their title), so Onaga can claim what's "rightfully" his, Outworld. Yeah, Onaga got Shujinko to get his amulet, but that was 20-30 years ago! And Shujinko wasn't really an ally, just an errand boy for him. Hotaru's an ally, and he's being deceived into thinking Onaga can restore peace. So it only makes sense that the ally that was mentioned in the opening lines is Hotaru.

Anyone agree?

I'd say that sounds right on the money.It makes perfect sense.As much as I doubt everything everyone says till I see proof,this makes way to much sense and fits like a glove.I'd say that is what's more than likely going on.

I think the opening lines can be applied to a myraid of characters and not just Onaga and Hotaru.

Who else would be obsessed with dominating every realm cept maybe Shaokahn?
Since Hotaru is Onagas ally,(i know of no other ally to Onaga as of yet).It makes tons of sense and seems logical.

Maybe its referring to Quan Chi! Quan Chi wanted to take over the realms & could use Onaga as an ally to be deceived, so he could take over the realms!

Those are some very good observations, and they make perfect sense.

I thinks its very possible that Hotaru and Havik play a bigger role in the story of MKD then what we think.

Havik being the one ruler of Chaos might actually join with the side of light, while Hotaru, as we now, sides with the evil side. (Perfect story twist from the mk team IMO!)

But NOT only the Dk, I think everyone is using one ally or more in order to bring deception.

It would be more along the lines of 20,000 years ago, because Shao Kahn was still emperor of Outworld 20-30 years ago in Mortal kombat. Good theory though.

It does seem like that. Except Ed Boon said Shujinko is around 60 and he started his quest for the Kamidogu(or whatever the name is) when he was 13. But I don't think he completed his quest all in one year, maybe around his 30's-50's, so that's why I gave a small number of years.

I don't think that Hotaru believes that Onaga will restore peace so to speak. He is looking to restore Order: A condition in which freedom from disorder or disruption is maintained through respect for established authority. That authority is the DK. That is why Hotaru is his ally. Havik, on the other hand, is looking to keep a constant state of chaos: A condition or place of great disorder or confusion. That is why he is against the DK. It doesn't have anything to do with good or evil or "peace." There can still be "peace" while there is chaos.

When you watch the opening of the video The face with the glowing eyes you see is Baraka though. Boy Onaga baraka Hotaru and maybe more. If they were a team they would be unbeatable. Especially if they didn't share lifebars the only possible way to beat them would of been to use Noob-Smoke

i dont agree with it at all im sorry but it just doesnt seem right we know mileena and baraka are allies and it showed his face in the trailer so im guessing it has to do with 1 of them or the same situation happened to them
