Things are looking grim for Sektor fans, or he must be REALLY special.

This is in the source code for the MK:D site:

Other than the fact they spelled "Liu Kang" wrong, we apparently now assume Kobra is the martial artist's official name. You also see "Havik" and "Onaga." I don't remember Onaga ever being used...

However, Sektor's appearance is seemingly overshadowed. We ALL saw the select screen and that blatantly obvious cyborg head, not to mention the entire Tekunin story. Things look dark for our blood red robot. This either means:

1) Sektor isn't in. At all. I think that's sort of dumb.

or 2) Something REALLY big must be happening to him.

Yay for Smoke.
I guessed right, Kobra is the definitive name.
Havik is Darrius' friend, no idea on the other guy.
Dairou is also in, another nice thing.

I noticed that too, I looked at the coding aswell. I remember back when MK:DA was around and we did that. But anyways, I think that either onaga or havik will be the sub boss. And I wounder if that includes all secret characters aswell. Because if it did then thats a major spoiler.
Edit: They list 25 characters notincluding the DK, so that means that either there is only gonna be 1 hidden character or they arent including hidden characters in there, or they count the blacked out faces as hidden characters.

Not only did they do that for copyright reasons, but I think they did that so the smart ones would find out secrets, as well.

I believe firmly now that Onaga, Havik, Kobra, and Liu Kang (previously confirmed) are definitely in it. Good job Wanderer, I never thought about doing this.

And no, I still think there are hidden ones. Like I said above, I think they did this for us to catch. They're cool like that.

Some other possiblities why:

1. He might be a hidden character, thus unmentioned here

2. They haven't got to rendering Sektor yet.

3. Smoke is indeed the pictured cyborg, and the transparent guy is one of the new names.

I don't think this is a complete list, it adds up to 27 characters, so after removing the Dragon King that would mean only 26 playable characters, thus only 2 secret charaters counting the playable sub-boss. That would be horribly lame and go against what the MK team has been saying in their interviews.

I am glad to see Smoke's name on the list.

Sektor's not in. Take it like a man.

Kobra is that blonde guy's real name. Take it like a man.

Who knows? Remember....Smoke left after MK3 and we never saw him again. Some plots are put on hold, and it looks like Sektor's is going to be saved for later just like Smoke's was back then.

Did anyone count the names, besides Dragon King?

There's 25. Boon & CO have confirmed OVER and OVER again that there are 30+. Sektor still has a chance.

On another note, I think Havik sounds more like a guy with messed up flesh than Onaga. Onaga sounds like either A. a new sub boss or B. a new Shotokan to me.

Remember where it said that some characters are not gonna be shown in the strategy guide. So I think they're not gonan be shown here either. They're secret characters after all.

Onaga sounds like a name for an Oni to me. Look at this, there is an "O" and an "N" in "Onaga" and "Oni". Who knows? Maybe Onaga is the Supreme Oni or something?

Onaga could be the third oni and possibley more powerfull out of the three oni. he could also be a subboss and possible a playable one at that too.

I remember them stating a few times that they're is gonna be a 'torrent' of hidden characters. And torrent meaning tons, I would imagine they're would be 30 or more. And I am sure they will import MK:DA models for most of them.

Maybe Onaga is Skab's final name...

I think sektor may be hidden like Blaze was in MKDA, or Noob in MK4.. that little EXTRA secret going on

there will be 37.. sektor among others will be in the game.. i think their keeping him a secret, his look i mean and what not.. because i heard he suppose to be bad ass in this 1.. looking nothing like cyrax this time around..

LMAO heard from who? Nobody has heard absolutely ANYTHING about Sektor yet. Plus, who the hell told you there will be over 37 characters? You have some shitty sources.
Yeah im pretty sure they said somthing about Sektor being in the game. And yes there will be over 30 characters.

If Sektor is in the game (I doubt it now), he would have logically same look than Cyrax in MKDA, except if he was destroyed by Subzero and repaired after...

Well for one thing they're was a cyborg head on the select screen at e3. And they should atleast have 1 cyborg in there.

I wouldnt be too dissapointed just YET. Reptile will be playable, yet he is not on that list... so I wouldn't worry too much for Sektor, he's a promising character and wouldn't miss one of the biggest MK events.

We believe this is a cyborg head, this is not a certainty... I remember yet than guys who were sure that the guy near to Kenshi was Reptile... And finally, this is Smoke... Bad surprises exist, man...
