His status is still classified as a Spectre and a Spectre is a ghost. So he SHOULD be ghostly.

I'd rather them fix the fact that Scorpion's spear just magically disappears from the opponent's chest.

Ahhh you suck. My idea kicks ass and would make Scorpion more powerful than ever. A supernatural ghostly Spear that can't be lost, cut or damaged in any way and throws straight out of his hand rather than his waist.

This is something that might've been a good idea to suggest in the earlier titles. This far along, it's pointless to stray from convention.

instead of a "ghostly transparent spear(whoo)",a burning spear head would be way cooler imo. or they could replace the rope with fire. i mean, wouldn't it be cooler if scorpion whips out the spear head, sets it on fire, and uses his "firepower" as a "rope". just a thought.

I could imagine it it. But what I always wanted is that they copy the spear from the first Movie. Way more awesome than a simple rope with a spear tip.

I think it would be cool along those lines, but more dead. Like instead of a snake, it's a Skeleton of a snake, with a spine-like cord and a dragon-like skull. I guess something along the lines of what he had in Conquest.

What you're describing sounds exactly like the MK Annihilation version. Which I wouldn't mind either.




I'd even take the ghostly spear as suggested in the first post. Just as long as it's not a simple rope.

Man I wouldn't even mind fusing some of these ideas together. I just think Scorpion in general needs to uphold his status of being a ghost. Either in his physical form....or by means of his abilities.

What would also be badass, is if you could control the direction of your spear like in the Movies. Changing the direction by either pressing up or down.

Well, what about the spear he had in MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero?
Where it's like a normal spear, like he has now, but when it hits the opponent, it opens up so as to easier hook onto the opponent. Or at least that's how I see the logic behind it. All I know is that it leaves like a spear, and then opens up into that axe shape that they used for Combos in UMK3/MKT.

Personally, I found the Movie change more inspiring than the rope he's got since MK1. Scorpion is a spectre from hell. So it would make only sense that his signature move should be hellish.

It would also open up possibilities for some interesting Fatalities if they were to make the spear alive and an own entity, like in the TV show/Movies.

For example, have Scorpion shoot his spear and wrap it around the opponents, neck, then lift him up. The head of the spear closes in to the opponents face and gives of a menancing shriek before striking through the victim's head and killing him.

No, actually. No, it isn't. A simple bloody spear that Scorpion throws into the opponent's chest and then pulls their raggedy ass back is way cooler than some weird mechano snake symbiote thing.

Well, maybe the spear should actually LOOK bloody. Make it look like it's rusted with blood stains, at least. Instead of nice and shiny.

Scorpion can be gold, but make him look battleworn too. In fact, you know what, MK9 (true MK8) should just finally drop the classic version that we've seen sooooooooo many times, and have Scorps look how someone who possesses a body to rise from the depths of hell and who has to constantly reshape and scavenge armour. Scorpion should look ragged and fearsome.

To make it on a chain instead of a rope would be cool, too. I mean, nothing says "Hell" like chains.

Yeah, that's true. So many times, they redesigned his costume, yet the spear always stays the same. The only time the spear was any different was his alternate costume in MKD/His main in MKA.
