Thoughts on a boss?

I would like to see something like Deadly Alliance were there was two boss and when your playing as a Mortal Kombat character you would fight Darkseid, because I think that he will be the DC main boss and the sub boss might be Mongul or my favorite Gorilla Grodd and if your playing a DC character you might fight Shao Kahn or Shang Tsung, I would like to see Shang Tsung because he's one of my favorite MK characters and it would be cool to see him be the MK main boss but the sub-boss might be Kintaro or Moloch but I guess we"ll have to wait until E3 to find out.

Come to think of it, we don't know jack about the Elder Gods... they're like the Akatsuki (Naruto) or Arrancar or Captain level Shinigami (Bleach) in that they are mysterious... I would like to have a glimpse of what they can do and the uniform or attire they have... atleast a cameo of one just looking at you for a second then disappearing...

Did anyone stop to think that the bosses would be good guys? Because, obviously they will be the ones protecting their universes, which would be a threat to the good guys to the other universes, so the good guys battle it out, hence the bosses of either side are the good guys. Either that or my Emperor of course.

Just wondering how they propose to settle this
Is Midway willing to concede that Darkseid (or some other DC villain) is more of a threat than Shao Kahn, Onaga and Shinnok? Would DC let Darkseid take a backseat to he Midway villains? or are we going to end up with a potentially cruddy "made up" boss that has nothing to do with either universe?
Maybe an amalgam like Dark Kahn...or ShaoSeid or gasp...Abyss (Marvel vs Capcom 2 boss)
Just wondering what everyone wants to see...

Interesting topic. I also wonder from which side the boss will be from.
Since it's an MK game, it should definitely be an MK character, but who knows. Maybe it'll be a tag team boss fight like with Noob and Smoke with both characters coming from different sides.

I think it's fair to say that while the MK team seems to have carte blanche to control the game; I don't think they'd want to deliberately create a one-sided situation with the license.
I'd expect an even split, representative of the two perspectives emphasised in the story mode. Whether that means shared perspective of the same boss, or one from both sides, I don't know, but I'm sure victory and defeat will be shared around.

I think the DC Boss character should be none other than the all time fav comic guy "Sgt. Rock". Oh yeah baby he is the bomb. He is the ultimate warrior of all warriors.

Well, from what I've heard(might be wrong about this) you can play either the MK or DC side. So I figure if you choose DC, you would fight the MK boss (Shao Kahn hopefully) and if you choose MK you face the DC boss (I dont know who, since I dont read comics)

They can work this like the SF games where depending on the character you choose, decides your rival/boss.
or
They can just choose between Darkseid, Kahn, Imperialex, Onaga etc

I'd assume it depends on what side you choose.
However they might make up some random boss for this game.

It'll be someone big from MK or DC, perhaps both who knows...

Everyone's expecting a boss to pick a side.
What about a boss from neither continuity? A boss made exclusively for this game alone, kinda like Tabuu. A man who's pulling everyone's strings.

No they won't, dude. I've explained it multiple times, as clearly as I can possibly make it, and it still keeps coming up.

I was hoping for Shang Tsung to be the boss, but as he is now playable (just as good!) I want someone different, because bosses that are playable from the get go is retarded! I'd go for an original character to be the boss.
Remember, from the Gametrailers vid, Boon did admit that there would be baddies from both ends pulling the strings. What mk villain and what dc villain are powerhouses who pull strings and have an innate desire to rule over all they can? Darkseid and Shao Kahn. Boon did say you could guess 90% of the characters, and the hints to seem to point that way.
