I'm guessing Kitana and/or Sonya; Since Jax is back and u can now play as the "dead" Raiden, that leaves Sonya open to fight and who knows with all her fans out there they might let Kitana be playable! and we can't forget the 50/50% chance of Kung Lao returning!

i think he said 14 to start and 10 to unlock in konquest.

i wonder how you will unlock the secret characters.

I've always thought that the final roster will be at least 30, with 5 extra characters to find in Konquest. I mean I would love to see 10, as rumored above, with 5 from DA and the rest classic and new, but I don't want characters in the game that just appear randomly and don't have a part in the story. I mean it would be great to have those four characters we saw in the Prison Stage to slowly disappear as you unlock them in Konquest, but I don't want to play as Fujin or any of the other 3 without them having a part in the story.

I CAN tell you that there will be at least 30 ppl on the fighter select screen that have an icon after u unlock them in konquest IMO.

cause i might be right cause if you look at the fighter select screen look at the left side there is room for 3 more icons and on the right side room for 3 more icons. i could be wrong, but looks like there is room for 6 more. then the ones without an icon and that are really hidden like MK4 hidden with no icon, there will probably be about 2-4 of those hidden people.

but the subboss is gonna be balanced now since he is playable and may even have fighting styles,
unless he is one of the hidden ones without an icon which would make sense.

i am confused now, maybe they dont wanna kill off raiden cause u ppl said it would be stupid. cause we all know he would be back in mk7, so they couldve changed that and decided to have jax die instead LOL.

raiden being playable is confusing the shit outta me.

i still thinking 30 icons and about 2 maybe being hidden without icon, since MKDA had two without icon, those might not have a part in the story for this game though. but the icons ones do.

like for example, the earthrealm ppl were trapped in earthrealm, the ending of the game says the poortal is open again, BOOM u beat the game portal is open, you can unlock sonya and kung lao and the rest of them.

just like sonyas ending to her alternate costume she was general after u beat the game, but u still got her alt costume of her being general.

they might change raidens intro to his ending when u beat the game. which could be non cannon.

Like queve said, there WILL be more than 24 playable characters. In fact, there will be at least 30-32 playable characters.

The only characters I confirm confirmed are Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena, Baraka, Ben, Sindel, Hotaru, Ashrah, Tanya, Noob Saibot, Ermac, Li Mei, Jax, Shujinko, Bo' Rai Cho, Kenshi & Nightwolf. Maybe Raiden, but I never saw the article confirming him. We have pictures of all those in the game, and although some are likely to change, at the moment we know they are scheduled to be in the game.

skab has also not been confirmed. they said that was noobs alt costume which may be correct or not. so we cant count skab yet. boon also said that most likely there were more than 24 characters. so he might be on that list.

Kabal and Smoke have also been confirmed in interviews with MK team members. Of course, like Raiden and Tanya there's been no pics of them yet.
