UK MAG 360 Gamer gives MK vs DC Universe 5/10

Yeah 5/10

Its not online yet as its in their december issue.

They say its slow, clunky, dull, boring and unbalanced.

Now while saying that, the reviewer seemed like the most biased idiot known to man. He kept referencing how great street fighter was, how people shouldnt get this and wait for the new street fighter etc. He also said that on Die Hard MK Fans will find this Mildly amusing for a very short time.

Now the review was terrible but to be honest Im not even gonna listen to him as i also just read a review in PSM3 magazine which gave it 8/10. They said is unashamedly casual but said its Tremendous Fun and undeniably the best MK since UMK3. They say its fast, frantic and a hell of a lot of fun.

Now my question, why the hell do magazines allow biased reviewers near their titles to review. Surely this kind of crap will ruin the reputation of the magazine. The only reason i know it was biased and the mag is biased as a whole is they had a FIFA fanboy review PES9 and he only gave it 6/10 constantly stating how great fifa is? its pathetic

LMAO at slow, clunky and dull! Don't try and bash the reviwer for speaking the truth,lol. Also he needs to change the "only die hard fans will find it amusing" to fan boys. I have no more controll over this situation, sometimes people don't like listening to reason, well its been confirmed by two people so far, the game sucks.

yeah but the reviewer was a SF fanboy.. he praises SF and in his MK vs DC review, he was bashing the game and sayin SF4 will PWN MK vs DC (i like street fighter and sakura's red underwear, but, i also like MK so i hate people who bash the game)

yeah im not just guessing he was a Street Fighter fan boy, he actually told people in the comments section of his review to wait for street fighter instead. I think games should be judged on their own merits and not compared to other titles, and if all a review can do to nit pick at a title cause its not the same as another title then thats a review im not gonna trust

I don't read reviews to make a decision on whether or not I'm going to like a game. You can't always trust the opinions of some one else. For example, I love RPG's and strategy games yet, my friend can't stand them. If he were to write a review of Final Fantasy (insert number), he would no doubt score the game low.

There were a number of games that scored low that I absolutely loved. People seemd to talk shit about King of Fighters 2003 yet, I loved that game. Some people hated Blood Rayne 1 and 2 yet, I couldn't get enough of them. Years ago, I came to the conclusion that these critics were just criticizing a product that they themselves could not produce even if they tried. There is also that old "band wagon" effect on some reviewers. If a game series is not "cool" in their circle of associates, they are more likey to write a bad review for it.

Granted, there are reviews that are right on the money.

yeah that's very true. i bought bullet witch and loved it even though it got like one good review.

but i think comparing something to it's competition is inevitable. compare MK vs DCU to the all three past MK games and it'll probably seem like a god sent work of art. but you still do have to compare it to the other fighting games out there. to see which one plays better, not really which one you will enjoy more.

The review sucks but apparently so does the reviewer. I think I'll just wait and play it and look at Gamespot later.

agreed i read the interviwe he was just a flat out fanboy or and i woudlent be saprised if street fight 4 was doing what rockstar did with gta 4 pay ign/game stop and other rateing mag and web companys to give there compation's bad reviwes and them good reviwes

I'm seeing a Trend. When someone gives a good review of Mk vs DC
everyone has a joygasm. But the minute someone gives a bad review
he is automatically dubbed a Street Fighter fanboy or a biased Soul
Caliber fan. Seems like there is bias on both sides of the fence.
You guys can't seem to take harsh criticism of this game.

Not every MK fan or NON fan is gonna be satisfied with the games. It's just the way it is. But then you got that sect handful who enjoy it, and that's cool to.

I haven't played it, But after I do, I'll post my thoughts on it.

Everybody has an opinion. I'm not gonna say this review is wrong, being that I haven't played it yet. Let's just hope it's better than this guy says it is (because I bought the KE)

But why should we believe anything you say. You have Mai from King of Fighters in your sig. tongue

Its been like this for every Mortal Kombat game on this site. Ultimately, people will like the game and people will dislike the game. Different strokes for different folks. No reason for killing each other if we think this game is good or bad.

I'm still looking forward to this game despite the negative review. It could very well be the first step to great MK games.

it's weird cause OXM gave the game a pretty solid rating and two UK mags gave the game bad reviews I'm starting to think that brits probably resent the game. But that's just what i think

Whoever gave MKvsDC a bad review must not have that much of a taste for fighting games. Anyway, that doesn't mean it's bad. It's only their opinion and you can always rent the game to see for yourself.
