I seriously don't understand how MKO works at times. The guy was just doing us a favor. So what if he posted a link to his site/channel. He simply wanted to share his review with other ppl, so I'm not entirely sure how that equates to advertising. Even so, why is "advertising" such a concern here? Other sites dont give a rat's ass if you mention other ppl's websites.

I'm not the biggest fan of the rule when it's restrictive.
Sharing websites is a fundamental way of staying informed and enjoying the subject. It is fairly obviously stretching the friendship, however, when every question or comment is rebuffed with constant advertisements.

I'd like to think everything would've been fine if it had been an informative post with discussion relevant to the subject matter, rather than skull duggery and embarassing attempts to feel a bit more important.

In short; it was the method, not the matter.

I'll have it probably by the end half of this year. I've been wanting to buy it out, anyway. Things need to change. This board is run like America (a dictatorship). Just uncalled for. What Mick-Lucifer was saying was that because I am well known in the community, and covered more of this game in 6 hours than this site has in 6 months, that they can't have that, and it is indeed embarassing to them to see that there is someone out there who can (and will eventually) run this website better than they do.

A little less baseless dissent and pining, and a bit more MKvsDC discussion, would probably improve your chances. Of course, that also would've avoided any problem to begin with. Consider tribal squabbles somewhere in the grey area, but unflattering beyond brief and concise information.

I don't know how Midway feels about the unsolicited broadcasting of their product, but I like a smooth running ship. A community that can share diverse opinions and informative materials productively is a good thing for all of us. Obviously I'm interested, otherwise I wouldn't be reading.

I would agree certain MKO rules are misguided and occasionally ill enforced, but in this case, there were plenty of circumstances working against the thread. A casual atmosphere is nice, but self-importance and outside squabbles interfere in a productive and informative topic.
