If Noob utilises the Scythe in the same way Zasalamel and Abyss do in Soul Calibur 3 i'd be happy. Other than that, the simple moves of Mortal Kombat means the Scythe would look stupid.

However a Scythe means top notch fatalitys.

Fuckigng hell that'd be sick! Zasalamel owned me so bad with that thing it was incredible. Sadly I know they would never incorporate the Scythe into MK in that way. MK just isn't as fluid as Soul Calibur for that to happen.

I updated with the knifes and sickle choices. I'm still having trouble finding the scythes.

I also update the fighting list so you guys could give me a positive feed back.

The daggers look great. Any of the ones in the first two pictures listed would be great to see in game. I like those alot.

I don't like the sickles. They seem weird to me.

great thread. i've been a fan of noob saibot for a while(even though in most games he was just a blacked out sub zero or kano) now that he finally has a story to go with him he's great. the twist in his story was jaw dropping (at least is was for me) and really put into perspective just how huge this charactar could be. lets not forget he took out goro(suprise attack or not, a kills a kill) who else has done that besides liu kang. and don't let goro's horrid over use in past games detract from the fact that he is one of the most powerful figures in m.k....and now his attempt to claim the neatherealm's throne, could leave him as a huge power player in future m.k.'s (if he makes it past armageddon of course)

I really like the new pics, those look pretty awesome.

But still, I honestly doubt they will look that good in the game. It’s the same for all the other sword-like weapons, they just dont look that impressive.

I still Noob should had a strange original weapon.

I think that he should have a syth or sickles.. somthing resembling that.

OK, discuss the small misconception. Anything that is curved is a KNIFE not an actual Dagger. Daggers are puncturing stabbing weapons not made for slicing

(most particular the piercers used by knights errants after a battle to put gravely wounded out of their misery inside the shell of their armor, those were DAGGERS (not having edges, as they were reinfrced with small tu-bes of iron on each side making for stability. Reinforcement to plunge it through the chainmailed soft points if used in a struggle.)

The knives look too flashy. the many ornaments interrupt the cutting edge, making it less lethal because the curve is continuous, the knife runs dee-per each time the angle is bent.

-haha, the "sickle" just before th last is a weapon called Pudao, it is held by two hands, it is essentially a Kwan Dao with shortened handle, making it a hand weapon instead of a polearm.

They scyth is a very good weapon, don't change it just as long as the Zasalamel style is in effect, but Noob Needs to look like a damned Boss:

The scyth for should have Zaslamels stance too, it shows power, like a boss. Give Noob a long coat/cloak as a primary or Alt. costume with a hoody and Give him that "RULER OF HELL" look, possibly a cooler head dress, no more generic ninja.

What do you mean by Noob Saibot should look like a boss? He never will be a boss, and dressing him different won't change that!

About Noob Saibot's weapons

Noob would look cool with a scythe like Zasalamel, but i prefer the assassin weapons.

Noob Saibot is one of my favorite characters. I hope that his story will mainly involve characters like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Ashrah, Smoke, and Sareena.

Fighting-wise, I think he should have the Monkey style of Kung Fu. It fits him a lot, imo. In terms of weapons, I understand where Chrome is coming from with the scythe stuff. However, MK was never really about realism or anything and if Zasalamel from Soul Calibur 3 can use a scythe, why can't Noob? I hope Noob will have his MKT specials.

I personally like the duo in Deception. In my opinion it's the most original thing they've done character wise. Their Dark Assassin special move is by far my favorite. Smoke ducks down while Noob throws the stars... now that's awesome.
Anyway, I think it would rock if they were together for MK7, and afterall in the picture of every character they're standing beside each other, so maybe they will be a dul once again... maybe not. Either way, Noob will be amazing in the game. The character I'm looking forward to the most is RAIN!

Hey, hey. he's entitled to his opinion, even if it is unpopular.

I really loved those Noob concepts, especially the eclipse design on his kneepads. Reminds me of Moon Knight gone wacko, in a good way.

I too think he should keep the scythe. I know it wouldn't be as fluid as Zasalmel's in SC, considering MKA"s engine, but it would be interesting to see. I just hope it wouldn't be a copy-paste of Sindel's Kwan Do or Raiden's Staff moveset. That would suck.

And I'm all for him keeping monkey, personally. It was full of quick strikes, and I feel it really suited hs sneaky character. I can't even begin to describe how many times CPU Noob-Smoke hit me with that damn ducking quick spin kick. He needs some stuff to knock enemies away, though - he had mostly pop-ups.

As for alternates, I'd actually prefer a variation on Noob's other alternate. I don't want to turn him into the grim reaper, so I say no to the hoodie. The other outfit, where he was this sleek shiny demonic thing, was bad-ass. I'd like to see that updated and expanded on.

I apologies for my rudeness! But this whole Noob-Smoke thing scarred me since i unlock them in Deception. It was good for a one time deal. Again i apologies! I hate being an @$$! Its just that i don't agree with this whole Noob-Smoke, Monkey and Scythe business.

Sorry for bumping this, but due to certain circumstances, I can't be here as often as I'd like to.

Anyway, I don't see what's so wrong with Monkey for him. I think it suits him perfectly, especially if he were to use Tall Monkey which is basically well...designed for taller people and unlike some of the other Monkey styles, it keeps more of an upright position and is more on the long-ranged side.

But, to each his/her own, right?

The only weapons I can see Noob Saibot with are the Scythe and a Kusara Kama.

If Noob Saibot doesn't look like that much of a ninja anymore, but more like a lead of the shadows of some sort, then he should a Scythe.

On the other hand, if Noob Saibot still looks like a ninja then he should have the Kusara Kama (mabey even two). The end of the Kama which looks like a small Scythe, will represent the darkness and the chain will give the Kama a ninja like look.

What I dont understand is why does Noob Saibot has white skin in MKD?

Noob-Saibot was a good character he just needs to be separate like all yall said. However, the styles I would choose for him would be maybe Netherealm except more quick, strong, and yet have good chained combos because he did spawn fromt the netherealm didn't he? I mean after the fact that he was the origional Sub-Zero. Plus i know he used to be Lin Kuei but key word is USE to be Lin Kuei so don't give him Sub-Zero's stances because thats his and his alone. Noob has been in teh Netherealm for quite some time now so give him aggresive stances.

As for the weapon style. I have no clue what kind of weapon as long as it is a good one.

Well before I say anything in response to this thread, Vasculios for someone who has posted asking for others opinions you're very quick to throw them out because they aren't what you feel they should be, if you wanted everyone to have the same opinion as you I don't see the point in posting.

Any how, noob and smoke should be spererated not because the gameplay was bad or it didn't fit the story but it would be nice to see these characters potential last game to have their own seperate storylines and not have a single interconnected storyline.

As for costume design I feel that his primary should be more elemental he is a shadow wraith essentially so I think giving him more of a spiritual/elemental feel would not only help in the storyline department but also symbolize his growing power as he begins to take over more and more of the netherealm. His second look should be more of a dark emperor look, lots of flowing cloth all black of course either a draping hood or an ornamental head dress would feel suiting.

Fighting styles I personally thought Monkey was a great style for him. Its a style fitting for a nimble shadowy type character it has elements of stealth and agility that compliment noob perfectly. Ninjitsu is not noob he's not a ninja and never has been Lin Kuei is a chinese clan not japanese either give him shotkan to tie him to being the original sub (he passed the style onto his brother etc.) or give him a dark style something that he has learnt since being in the neatherrealm. And for his weapon a staff was mentioned which i think is great and would be fitting for the emperor style look im going for but I must admit i see him using a scythe regardless of the impracticality of it, it just seems to fit.

In a way, this relates to Noob Saibot, but i was wondering it everones parts are going to be in Kreate a Fighter or is Midway going to cheat us just like Soul Calibur 3.

I remembering wanting to use Siegfrieds second custom hair style, only to find out that it wasn't in.

I just hope all of Noob Saibot's parts in create a fighter.

I will still play the default Noob Saibot. But the majority will go to the one i make.

Facts about why Noob-Smoke sucks!

1. Only two fighting styles
2. No weapon.
3. Lack of combos and branching combos
4. Monkey barely had any combos
5. Smokes Fighting had some combos, but not enough

The worse assemble tag-team character.

If i wanted to play a good tag team character. i'd play Tekkin Tag Team.


Idea on Noob Saibots plot

I can't see the Noob Saibot Vs Sektor, because i believe Smoke become free of his inslavement.

Which means Noob Saibot will be unable to make his cyborg demons army.

So its would have to be between Ashrah or Sub-Zero
