These are some of the longest damn posts, you guys have really put alot of thought into this. Noob Saibot is my favorite character as you probably guessed. The bottom line is he should be a separate character from smoke, have some of his old moves, and a scythe for a weapon. Everything else is negotiable, I really don't care what fighting style he has or if they give him a new costume.

Noob Saibot sucked with a scythe. He deserves a sword type.

Unless the sword is very unique looking, I think that would be a terrible idea. Noob Saibot is a character of mystic, giving him the most common weapon wouldn't give him justice. That is if he even gets seperated from Smoke and has a weapon stance.

Noob is DEATH incarnate he needs his sythe to reap unworthy souls. As long as he's separate from smoke he can have a katana or anything else, but it has to be black except for the blade.

Noob is the only ninja in MK now, so he must have katana, because real ninjas use katanas, not ninjasword, which was created by japanise animes.

And his sword must be with good style, smth like this:



Also he must have some new syle, im agree with ninjitsu and dragon (like his bro). And he must have some ninjas move like teleport and throwштп ninjastars and suricans with poison that will freeze opponents for few seconds, that will be realy cool!
But there is one problem, he is chinese ninja, not japanise, so he can use dao sword: Or that swords from 1st post, but i prefer katana. Best choice :)

And making Noob a ninja would certainly degrade him into a laughable stereotype what is spoonfed to the alike-silicon-kids that are for flash, and not for substance.

Wakizashi and Tanto combination would be the best choice or if only one weapon is prefered one of them... the katana is overused and noob should stay as original as possible and the wakizashi(a medium size sword) and a tanto(a short sword) are faster swords based mainly on agility, raw agility

Why would Noob Saibot use a katana type sword? It doesn't make sense. And besides, we already have a character that uses the katana.

To Kvazar: Chrome is right. I don't know how you got those ideas. Like Chrome said, making Noob a ninja would degrade him into a stereotype.

To andrewbwm: I think that the wakizashi could be used by Scorpion.

To Sub-Zero 7th: If not Shinto Ryu, he does however deserve to have Tae Kwon Do, sorry if i'm not a martial arts expert.
But i stand by my statement, when i say that Monkey Style is stupid and should be giving to either Liu Kang, Shujinko or Mokap

To Chrome: I also disagree with you on Monkey Style as well, But at least we meet half way when if comes to finalizing Noob Saibot a weapon. Even though i still want him to either have Demonic Kamas, Demonic Chinese Sword or Demonic Daggers. But that weapon choice is acceptable as well

Whatever style he has, he needs one that is quick, deceptive and hard to hit. Capoeira very much fits in this respect but he shouldn't have Capoeira, just utilize some of its strengths.

For a weapon, he should have something very sharp, very light, and very fast. Maybe some kind of one-handed sword or dagger.

i cant remember if i posted a comment in this noob thread or another but anyways
vasc monkey style sucked in mkd yes but it wasnt that stance that i hated it was the lack of combos and lack of attacks if the mk team include longer combos more attacks and more specials the monkey style would be awesome and i wouldnt mind noob saibot to have it.

and he should not have a scith nor look like the grim reaper that would be fucking stupid to make him look like the grim reaper he should have his mkd alt for a alt in mka and his main should be a new costume and from the looks of the little scan of the select screen he looks all black and the skin around his eyes are black soo it looks like his mkd alt but instead of oil black ( i might color my car oil black haha) it just looks pure black soo im excited to see what he looks like .

i really hope in this new update that we get some renders or screenshots of noob and learn about his 2 fighting styles since hes not with smoke (thank the elder gods).

As for styles, the fist style should be something fast, with lots of kombos. He shold also have a lot of evasive moves, to make him hard to hit. And he should definately have a scythe. I mean, he is the dark character.

I don't see why you think Monkey is stupid.

Liu Kang is fine with Jun Fan. Shujinko should either use Pai Mei or one of the Mantis styles. Sonya is fine for Tae Kwon Do.

As for Noob's weapon, I think he should have a Scythe, but not one as big as Zasalamel's.

The stance is probably something they didn't get right. I'd rather see him with an actual Monkey Kung Fu stance.

I like the way he moves. In his monkey standby stance. ^_^ If he is on his own now, he will need better combos though.

Yes, I now know why you dislike the style, but I don't feel that's good enough reasoning. I mean, it's all a matter of changing the fighting style and changing some of the moves to make it better.

I don't like the idea of him using a Japanese Karate style like Shinto Ryu. It doesn't make sense for him. I know I don't know much about Shinto Ryu Karate, but I don't like the idea of him using a Karate style. The same can be said for Sub-Zero and Smoke.

As for Tae Kwon Do, I'd rather see Sonya keep it. I don't see Noob Saibot as being someone who focuses a lot on kicking techniques.

I still stand by my choice for Tall Monkey since it's a martial art that's designed for tall people like him, and it uses conventional stances and the practicioner doesn't like to fall or roll as much as in the other Monkey styles. Also, it uses pressure point techniques, something that would be fitting for a warrior assassin like him. In general, Monkey Kung Fu is fast, agile, acrobatic, and cunning, something that sounds very ninja-like and would be a style useful to the Lin Kuei.

Its seems that neither one of us can win this debate!

I read somewhere that you said you weren't about the realism, but yet you seem to question why i think Noob Saibot should have Tae Kwon Do or Shinto Ryu.

My choices arn't based on realism, but style and gameplay fun.

Why can't... Example: Jax use Karate? You say something like, its because of his body mass and that he is more suited for Wrestling or whever chinese art that big guys use.
