ummmm.... hello if the game is gunna be dark it should have a dark theme so if you have trouble with heavy metal or death metal then why the f*ck are you getting a game based around ...ahem...DEATH and MURDER. anyway I just thought of one more band that would be good for the theme... most of you probably don't know it but they're called Children of Bodom.

I agree with the guy who said, if bands like gay-ass Linkin Park, Adema, or any of those mainstream pieces of shit bands do any songs for MK:D, i will sadly not buy the game. Blackmetal, Deathmetal, grindcore, etc. Any kind of aggressive music. You need brutal music for a brutal game.

I think the only band that should even be alowed to make a song for mortal kombat that has been mentioned in this thread is Fear Factory. They have history with Mortal Kombat in the first place, even though it might be one of the movie's (Yeah I hate them too, but that fight were zero signal was played was awesome.)

Slipkorn, Adema, Linkin Park and what not should not do a song at all. They should have a band that is industrial and melodic, not a band that has a dude that raps in the same rythm in every song, then some guy that screams like a 13 year old who just got grounded, and then using a the same symponic synth beat in every song.

Right on. If I HAD to chose a band, I would say Dimmu Borgir. Besides them, keep it dark and orchestral.

I believe that Mr.Davis iz the older brother of Adema's singer. I wouldn't mind hearing KoRn tear it up. In the new album Jon does less whining & more oldskool screaming. I kould see a song called "Kill sumthin'" or "Pit fall" or "Krazy Kill" kumin' from them. - Jon iz workin' on a fighting game of hiz own, so it kould be good promotion, which would help to jumpstart hiz game's salez. Seems to make centz to me.

I would prefer if they did not have a band or artist do any song for MKD. Let Dan handle all the music on this one. I think it would be fitting if they used the Techno syndrome mix or whatever from the movies, and maybe give it a little darker edge.

MK needs Dan Forden.. His tunes for the other MK games where the best!! Not metallica or any of the other bands.. I might agree witht the techno approach from the Konquest serie and the original soundtrack from the movies...

Caliban, Trivium, Atreyu, Bleeding Through or even Meshuggah.Those are great metal bands...they would fit good into MK...

I believe the point of this thread is which band could perform a good theme for Deception, not which is your favorite band. Fortunatly most of my favorite bands would make a good deception theme.
The early stuff from Sevendust kicks ass, but I wouldn't pick them. Fear Factory would kick ass and Coal Chamber would definitly be bad ass as well. Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall would be decent, but I think a theme for Deception needs something different. Pantera, Down, or Damage Plan (Heh) would alright too. Mushroomhead might could do something interesting.
These pussy mainstream bands like Linkin Park would be embarrasing. I don't wanna knock what someone else enjoys listening to, I know not everyone enjoys what I like to listen to, but man I don't wanna hear that.

I don't mean the Deception song should be any of these in particular, but maybe something along these lines. The lyrics contain an angrier theme of... Well, deception. Plus they're heavy, which is necessary.
